Help finding a gift

DD is graduating from HS this year. I have been searching for two gift ideas that I have for her with no luck and thought maybe someone on here would have some suggestions. I have been googling for days.

DD was extremely close to her grandpa who passed away in 2008. She always called him her Superman and I would love to find her a nice, but very small Superman pendant in possibly white gold. I think it would mean a lot to her in his absence from her graduation. Everything I am finding is either very large or something that seems to be for young kids. Not anything that would be a nice jewelry keepsake.

The other idea I have if I could not find that is to find some sort of small necklace with "Roo" from Winnie the Pooh on it. I have called her Roo for many years and although it is not necessarily because of the character, I thought it would be a nice keepsake for her.

If you guys have any suggestions on where to find either of these things I would really appreciate your ideas. It is not the end of the world if I can't find them, but I would love to be able to give her one of the two.

Have you looked at www.etsy.com ? There are a lot of people on that site that make custom jewlery...sterling silver, etc. I would think someone could do a superman emblem...fairly easily. And a nice silver ring with the name "roo" engraved would be a great gift! Go have a look!

Do you have a non-chain jewelry shop near you? They may be able to custom make something for you. If you find a picture or can draw what you want, they should be able to make something pretty easily. I know of one in Minnesota if you don't have one near you.

I don't know if there is a non chain jewelry store around us or not. Not quite sure if I would recognize the difference. LOL. Not to sound ignorant I just don't know where to begin even looking. I would not mind calling yours if you have a name that I could look up for the number. Thanks!

I just wanted to thank you guys again for the ideas.

I did find a local jeweler that is going to custom make me a pendant. The are going to do it exactly the way that I need it to be.

I am so excited. I have tears in my eyes. As silly as this seems, I think she is going to love it!
