HELP! Finally arrived & dd suitcase is missing!!!

I cant belive what has happened, we are finally here, but Daisys suitcase has vanished from putting on ME, we bought everything from the plane to the coach, got to the room & its gone! I' m about to cry, I only have 2 outfits for her & no one seems to know what could have happened :furious: :sad: :sad:
 
Oh my goodness x Surely the CM's at resort are helping you trace it? It may take a lite time if it has been sent to the wrong room for those guests to get back to their room, see the mistake and contact reception to find the case.

They must have a record of which resorts your ME dropped to and which guests were dropped off? Can you ask the reception manager to track the bag that way?

Did you collect them all off the bus? If not it is possible it didn't get unloaded. We always make sur we have everything before handing it off to bell services.

I suggest you GO (do not call) to the front desk - ask for the manager and explain what has happened. They should be able to help from there :thumbsup2
 
It sounds like it wasn't unlaoded off the bus or another family has it. I'm sure it will turn up - what a stressful start to your holiday :(
 

This isn't going to help the OP now but as an FYI for anyone else arriving by ME - you need to make sure all you cases are off the bus. When you hand them to Bell Services they should give you a receipt and on it will be the number of pieces they have.

Once you are checked in stop by the bell services desk in the lobby and give them your details and they will bring your luggage, they will ask someone is in the room to receive it. This should catch any problems! Also don't forget to tip the bell services staff ;) (we usually tip a couple of bucks to the guy that takes it to be stored and then $1 per bag for the one that brings it to the room plus extra for our OLs)
 
Thanks everyone, well its not turned up yet, lots of time spent last night going to the desk on the phone, emailing the airport, hubby is thinking of going back to the airport this morning, will see the bell staff/reception as soon as we can, but I'm just so upset that its daisys case, wd have prefered any of the others to go missing :(
 
Sorry to hear about the case I always put clothes in all of the cases Incase things like that happen hope you find it we left our child carrier 3 years ago and couldn't get to airport to get it but found it in the lost property place it's a glass window so you may find it in there

Thats whst I normally do tbh, since my case didnt make it to Lanzrote one year, but must have had a brain storm this time, & we each had our own, plus one with all the odds & sods ect, plus carseat, pushchair & hand luggage.

We have gone all thu the luggage tabs virgin put on at manchester & given them the correct number & it had hubbys name, not daisys on, so just praying its at the airport, not gone to someone who might not report it :sad:

That sucks, what a poor start to your holiday!

I know it doesn't help you but like others - we split belongings between cases so that if one goes missing we all have clothes etc. (Adtually we prefer to keep our luggage with us at all times, including travelling with hand luggage only, but that's another matter!). Might be helpful for those in future if bags get lost in transit.
 
I am so sorry that this happened to you! The worst bag that could go missing I hope there aren't any costumes missing :/

I really hope you find your daughters bag soon x

Did you take them to coach? If so it would have been loaded underneath - so it should be either at the resort or with Mears (who run ME).

If not then it could be at the airport if you had left Disney to collect them.
 
I hope you get this sorted asap so you can get on with your holiday.
 
Well after giving them most of today to try & sort it out, we have been told ME doesn't have it, they couldn't say if another passenger has taken it, told Virgin at the airport hadnt got back to them, & had a direct mail off MCO in reply to our mail last night saying they hadnt got it. So I've called Virgin in UK, & less than 5 mins later, told its waiting for us at the Virgin desk!!!!! Cant belive it onky took 1 call from me, not god knows how many by them to find it! So hubby & my dad have got a taxi to the airport to fetch it, huge sigh of relife from me!

Thanks everyone :) No the plus side, we went to. Magic Kingdom & that can only ever b a good thing!!

OMG, they have got to the airport & someone from Disney has collected the bag an hour ago, but hubby told them on the way to the taxi, they were goning to collect it!!!!!!

Oh my word, what a messing about. That is one of my fears that a bag go missing. We also prefer to travel with just hand luggage if we can. Anyway, all's well that ends well.....I suppose. Have a really lovely holiday :cheer2:

Glad you got your DD luggage back, well I hope you have as it's not in your hands yet, but I would def put a claim in to Virgin for all the problems it's caused you.

Thanks everyone, the case did turn up about 6.30pm on sunday, I had a bit of a rant to reception after explaining what was happening & the woman said, so ur room card is not working mam?? I was like WHAT??

So they credited $100 to our room, for the inconvenience, then when hubby & dad got back, minus the case, one of the managers refunded the $118 dollar taxi fare. But the main thing was having Daisys case back :thumbsup2
