We are heading down to WDW to celebrate our little guy's first birthday in May. We've been MANY times, but this is our frist trip as parents. Too make a long story a little shorter, we're sort of at a loss as for what to plan. I know we will have to be very flexible and may not be able to follow any plan too strictly. But, since this is far from our first or last trip, we aren't at all concerned about seeing and doing it all. We just want to do our very favorite things in each park and, of course, the things we think the baby will like. We plan to spend lots of time just enjoying the BC and hanging out in Stormalong Bay! We will be in the villas, so we will have some breakfasts and lunches in our room. Our baby is VERY laid back and happy. He has no problem napping in his stroller or sling and tolerates changes to his routine very well. He's already done several "mini vacations" with no problems at all. This is a very short trip, and we are used to planning much longer stays.

Anyway, here is what we have in mind.

Thursday, May 13th
-Plane arrives at MCO around 9p.m.
-Spend night at MCO Hyatt

Friday, May 14th
-Tiffany Town Car to Beach Club Villas (with grocery stop)
-Breakfast at Cape May
-Spend the rest of the morning and afternoon just hanging out at the Beach Club (Stormalong Bay!!!)
-Dinner from Boardwalk Pizza Window
-Head over to MGM to see Fantasmic

Saturday, May 15th
-Segway Tour for DH while baby and I hang out at the BC
-Meet DH in Mexico for lunch and then spend some time in World Showcase
-Head back to BC for some swimming, napping, etc.
-Dinner at Cape May Café
-Fantasia Gardens

Sunday, May 16th
-Animal Kingdom for the morning
-Head back to BC for a late lunch at Beaches and Cream and a swim, nap, etc.
-Magic Kingdom for Wishes (we will probably just eat hotdogs from Casey's or something while we wait for the fireworks)

Monday, May 17th
-Magic Kingdom for 8am ps at Crystal Palace
-Tour Magic Kingdom until after lunch
-Head back to Beach Club for nap, swimming, etc.
-Head over to Epcot for dinner at Coral Reef followed by Illuminations

Tuesday, May 18th
-Early Entry at MGM so DH and I can baby swap for ToT and RRC
-Head to Epcot for the rest of the morning
-Lunch at Chef's De France
-Head back to BC for one last swim and a snack at Beaches and Cream
-Town car pick up at 5pm for our flight home

Any thoughts??

Sounds like you are going to have a wonderfully relaxing trip! The baby will be happy too because you are taking things slow. I think you have a great plan and will probably be able to do more than you think. I've taken an 18 month old and we did a lot more and he did fine. :earsgirl:

When we go in Sept. we will be taking our 13 month daughter. We have taken our first daughter at the ages of 2,3 & 4 and I am pretty familiar of what may be good or bad to do.

I briefly looked at your schedule and the only thing I would think twice about is Fantasmic. Remember, you are seated about an hour before the show starts on those hard bleachers. A baby may not be very patient after that wait and if you are in the middle of the row of bleachers, it may be hard for you to get out if the baby gets fussy. Plus, with it being at night the baby may be tired after a long day. We are skipping this show even though my other daughter will really miss it, but it's not going to leave and we will just catch it the next time.

Just something to think about!!
