Help! Fantasmic or Laser Show at Epcot?

If having to choose between the Laser Show at Epcot or Fantasmic at MGM, which one is the best to go to? We have three girls ages 15, 14, and 10.

I think you'll find a mixed response on this one. I personally strongly prefer Illuminations at Epcot to Fantasmic, but there are many opinions on either side.

Both shows are fantastic, you can't go wrong with either. Illuminations is more of a fireworks and laser light show to music and Fantasmic has a storyline and involves lots of characters along with fireworks and other special effects.

Illuminations at Epcot is way better in my opinion. Plus, the nightlife at Epcot is more fun than the studios. There's more to do and see.

Although many people stake out a good spot early for Illuminations, there are always decent spots. At Fantasmic, you have to get there 60-90 minutes early and you're stuck there.

I know many, many people will disagree, but If I had the choice, it would be a no-brainer for me.

I'd choose Illuminations at Epcot in a heartbeat!

If you like the pixie dust (mickey mouse and classic disney movies) Go to fantasmic

If you like the idea of being a great world and celebrating nations and their differences go to illuminations

I think fantasmic is better

Honestly, both are amazing shows. The difference is in the content. Illuminations is strictly fireworks/laser show. It has music and fireworks. DH's favorite I believe...really great show! Fantasmic is a mixture of fireworks, stage show, and water effects/projection. For children, I would suggest Fantasmic because it has the story with Mickey overcoming the bad guys....filled with lots of clips from lots of movies, music, Mickey and the princesses with their princes dancing around the amphitheatre. I think your daughters would really enjoy Fantasmic more than a fireworks show, no matter how great of one Illuminations might be.
