I was hoping someone could tell me about these three hotels. I'm gonna use one of them for our 1st and last nights of our 2 week trip with 7 nights POR and 4 nights on universal stays between. Are they decent for a night and how is the neighborhood? The rates go from $30 to $33. I don't want a dump or a bad neighborhood. Kids may want to swim the afternoon we get in while I get the lay of the land and my AP. zAny advice is welcome. Thanks, YO

I am not sure which econolodge you are looking at, but if it is the Polynesian one, do NOT stay there, it is horrendous. Can't help you with the others tho, sorry.

We've stayed at the EconoLodge Maingate Hawaiin on 192 in Kissimmee several times and it is great. The rooms are a nice size. The pool is quite big. There is a small restaurant and bar though we never ate there so I don't know how it is. We haven't been there for a couple of years, but it was just fine last time we visited.

check tripadvisor.com for hotel reviews.

Thank you all for giving your advice. I was worried no one would help me. I'm just trying to get in a little extra $ as I went over in a few other places. Is the Hawain and the Polyenisian one in the same? Any clues? I'll check out tripadvisor.com. 127 days!!!

I am not sure if it the same or not, but the address is 2934 Polynesian Isle Blvd. it also has a West Irlo Bronson address too, although I can't remember the exact address. You can always call the place and check. HTH!!

No. They are two different properties.

Econo Lodge Polynesian
2934 Polynesian Isle Blvd

Econo Lodge Hawaiian Resort
7514 W. Irlo Bronson
Hwy. 192

My comments above were about the 2nd one, Hawaiian. We've stayed there at least twice in the past 5 years (maybe 3 times - can't remember) and it was just fine. I don't think you'll be disappointed especially at $33 or less. As I said, they do have a nice pool (no fancy slides or anything, just a big pool and plenty of lounge chairs). There is a little poolside snack bar also but we've only gone offseason and it was always closed.

Thank you disneysteve. I'll check it out I was looking at the Polynesian one. I'll see what I can get at the Hawiian resort. I jsut switched my one site ressies to POFQ from POR! We're all excieted to hear it is opening in time for our trip. Thanks, YO

If the Travelodge is the one across the street from Old Town, I've heard it's not too bad. No personal experience there, though.

I personally say steer clear of anything around the 2xxx West Irlo and stick around the 7xxx and 8xxx, I find the area around the 2xxx to be getting a bit run down and that properties down there are cutting rates but it looks it. While there are still some dodgy places everywhere, the area around the 7xxx, 8xxx tends to have newer infrastructure and I just feel safer up that end. A lot of people also like the Old Town area but I'm not so keen. we stayed a few nights at the HO JO Maingate West in Jan. there were a lot of negative comments on the board re this hotel so we cut our stay short and booked somewhere else in a panic before we left, but I would have stayed there for the whole 10 days has we not done this. It was a bit run down but it's clean and the pool was good - for £29 a night I had no problems.
