My DH and I are leaving for WDW in 94 days and I am starting to get worried that I won't have enough money. Here is what I have and what we are planning on spending in on so far:

I have $850 so far and saving $100/month. So I should have $1150 when we leave.

This is what I am planning:

We are eating a quick bite in the hotel for breakfast everyday.

Day 1- arrive around 1 p.m. swim have reservations @ HDDR

Day 2- AK dinner @ ESPN??

Day 3-MGM Fantasmic PKG Hollywood & Vine

Day 4-Epcot Lunch @ Garden Grill

Day 5-MK Lunch @ Crystal Palace

Day 6-Departure day @ 6 p.m. lunch @ Trails End?

The $1150 has to cover all meals, snacks and souveneirs. I have all the mousekeeping tips set aside along with dollar bills set aside for the tips at the airport and hotel. Transfers to and from hotel are also already paid for.

So what do you guys think? Help ease my mind!:listen:

I think you'll have plenty, depending on how much you normally spend on souveneirs. I used to budget $100/day for food when it was just my DH and I and we ate well. It's certainly possible to eat for less then that. Have a great trip!

Assuming you'll just be doing normal souvenier shopping (a T-shirt here...a silly hat there...) $1150 is more than plenty for your food/snacks/souvenir budget for your trip.

We also budget about $100/day for the two of us, and that's usually more than enough for 2 counter service meals and 1 sit-down meal plus snacks.

Hope you have a great time!

I too was thinking $100/day for food but sometimes need some reassurance!

Thank you :hyper:

Glad to hear $100/day is a normal budget. I was starting to worry that I short changed ourselves. It's DH, DD and me going, however DD will only be 18 months and usually eats off our plates anyway. Or should I plan for more?

Based on where you're eating, it sounds like you've budgeted well. I actually budget about $125 per day for BF and I, but that's because we tend to eat at a few restaurants that can be pricey! But this trip, we're eating at places similar to what you have listed, and we should be under $100 per day.

If you're still worried when you get there, what you could do is use the envelope method...put $200 in each of 6 envelopes (I guess in the 6th envelope you can put $150, for a total of $1150, unless you can add another $50 to your budget for an even $1200). Then use only what's in the "Day 1 Envelope" for your first day. If you have extra $$ left, you can put that in the Day 2 envelope, and so forth.

must be a common thing...we leave in in 3 1/2 mths and i am buggin LOL
worried we wont have enough to cover Airfare and food and sovies ( everything else is paid)
even DH yelled last night because thats all i talk about is how much money we need in 4 mths .
i have never stayed at WDW before so cant help you with your budget, sorry but i was glad to see someone else worried too.
