Help!! DVD Player or Laptop?

I am torn on which to take or take both. My oldest son needs the computer to charge his PSP which he will use on our cruise and in transit. The DVD player of lighter and easier to pack, however if I bring the laptop I can download my pictures daily and keep up with our travel spreadsheets. The laptop has a better screen for movies also. We could take both and let the 4 yr old use the DVD.
We leave in 18 hrs and I have no idea what to do. Packing burn out and can't make a choice on my own. Help please.

I have both and I would pick the laptop for all the same reasons you already listed. Mine has a 17 inch screen, so we use it in the hotel room like a "family" DVD player to watch movies in the evening - that doesn't work with the little 7 inch personal DVD player!
