Hi,

Has this ever happened to anyone? I log on to the DVC member web site quite regularly to check on what's going on, check my reservations and points, etc. Last night I tried to log in and the message I got was that I was using an invalid user name. So I thought there was a glitch in the site and I would wait a day.

Today I tried again, and it is telling me there is no user by my name, and it wants me to log in as a new user.

Has anyone had this happen? Of course, it only happens to me when MS is closed! :confused3 Thanks and Happy New Year to all! :wizard:

I get the same crap sometimes. Delete your cookies and history and restart your computer. Then try to log back in. Sometimes it works. I really don't know waht else to tell you.

I had the same thing happen last night, and just now tried to log on and got the same thing you did, taken to the next step to register:headache:
I guess I'll just try again tomorrow, to tired now to try.

It worked for me last night and this AM.

I sometimes get a "this page is not available" message, but when I click on the members only tab, I get the site anyway. Not sure what that is all about, but I always can get in that way.

The same thing is happening to me. Very frustrating!!!! It's asking me for my pin # or something blah, blah, blah, I don't know.:confused3

Have you changed any security settings on your computer or upgraded any software? (that just made all the webmasters flinch)

The way the DVC site knows who you are is it puts a "cookie" (like a tag file) on your computer. Some people have their browser set to remove cookies when they quit. Some people allow any cookies to stay all the time. Somehow this cookie has been deleted. I recently upgraded my Internet explorer to IE7 and found the default security setting set much higher than I normally have them set.

See this thread here

I had the same problem and there are a couple of links in there which may help you.

I haven't been able to log on for weeks now, for the same reasons! Nothing works, I was told I'd just have to re-register with my PIN,etc ... I haven't tried that yet, but it is definitely frustrating! Hope you get yours worked out.

Same problem here. Haven't been able to log in for quite some time... I guess it is time to call MS..

Thanks everyone. I cleaned out my cookies and I was able to log in with no problem.

Happy New Year to all.:goodvibes

I've cleaned out my cookies and tried eveything in every thread I can find and I STILL can't get logged in. It's very frustrating.

I just posted this on another similar thread above,

but I just spoke with member services and complained. She said quite a few people have complained and she thought the web people were working on it. So take a minute to call about it, and hopefully they will take it more seriously. She just kind of told me to try back in an hour or two (I've been trying for a week).:badpc:

I was having the same problem with logging onto the DVC member site. I recently upgraded my internet explorer as well. It wiped out my cookie for that site.

The solution - I went to disneyworld.com and logged on there. From there the DVC website was able to recognize me and now the cookie was established again.

Hope this helps.
