I'm having a difficult time deciding what to wear on my feet for Disney World. My friends keep suggesting sneakers, but I just find them too constriciting and uncomfortable. And if I'm doing all that walking, I want to be comfortable!

So does anyone know of really good but CHEAPER sandals? I love sandals, but have been unable to find any that satisfy me. I want something comfortable, of course, but also something that would withstand an afternoon shower or a ride on Splash Mountain! Nothing bothers me more than that SQUISH SQUISH of wet shoe material beneath me. I considered plastic flip-flops, but didn't think that was a good idea - especially if a kid wasn't watching where he/she was going!

Anybody have any experience here? Any recommendations? Would love some input from you Disney experts? Thanks!

I went through this a couple of years ago. I thought Teva's would be good, but couldn't find any that fit my feet right. I went to every store that sold shoes in our area and finally in a local sports store found a pair of Nike sport sandals (don't know the model) that fit my feet perfectly. I think that I paid around $30 for them. Well worth it. No blisters or sore feet. I tried mens, womens and kids at all of the stores. Don't give up until you find the right fit. It makes all the difference in the world (wdw that is. lol)

Everyone's feet and experiences are different but...

I always got blisters with my sneakers no matter what I tried or did. Then I listened to DISers and bought Teva's Pretty Rugged leather sandals on sale last year and brought them to Disney last August.

I didn't get one blister even when they got soaking wet. They weren't even the quick try kind because they were leather but they were still GREAT.

I now have the Teva Pretty Rugged vinyl which I just bought on sale at www.rei.com and I now I have the quick dry kind! I can't wait to try them at Disney! I'll break them in this summer though!

If you're looking for affordable sport sandals, you might try http://www.sierratradingpost.com. My MIL told me about them and I was able to get a pair of Kamik sport sandals for $30, including shipping!

I love flip flops , but I went shoe shopping the other day and found some sneakers by Dr Scholl's. A pair of slides and reg pair of sneakers. They are both really comfortable and light weight. The slide sneakers I love and will get another pair for Disney. With the open back I won't be getting any blisters on the back of my heels! :cool1:

It depends on how "standard" your feet are. I have hard to fit feet and really need good arches, so for me you get what you pay for. I have to spend atleast $45 for a pair of sandals. The last pair I bought were Bite Footwear's Enerstrap for around $65 on Zappos.com.

Like one other poster I cannot wear Teva's. Other than not being wide enough for me it seemed like an awesome sandal. Don't forget that you can price match at Zappos.com -that way you get free shipping AND free return shipping! Just make sure that the site you find has the same style, pattern, and size in stock.

Check out any local hiking/camping gear kind of stores in addition to the regular dept/shoe stores.
Good Luck!
