Ok, my dad swears that there is a water ride (in addition to Splash Mt) in MK. He says it's located by the train station in Frontierland. I don't recall this, and can't find any info about it online. Does this ring any bells, or is my dad confused? He says you ride four people to a log, and it lets you out under the train station, where you can view pictures that they snap as you go over a hill. He doesn't remember much else. Is he senile, or does this ride exist?! :rotfl:

Some of that description sounds like Splash Mountain, but if he thinks there's another water ride like that, he's definitely confused.

Yep, he's senile....could he be thinking of the defunct 20,000 Leagues and have it mixed up with Splash Mountain? Or maybe he's in a different theme park altogether.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's what I tried telling him! He seems convinced that there are two water rides though. He'll find out when we go in 9 days! :Pinkbounc  :cool1:

Yeah That sounds like Splash Mt.....that is the only log ride close to the train station in Frontierland, maybe he is thinking of a log ride at a 6 Flags or someother park!

I once had a lengthy conversation with a person who was truly upset that Epcot had taken down a ride he loved. I don't remember the name of it but he described it as a "rotating double platform that lifted high in the air on a scissor like arm.

I pointed out that there wasn't ever anything like that in Epcot and that he was describing, to a tea, a ride that is in Sea World. Sky Something, I think. He than got more mad that Epcot would move it to Sea World since he didn't like Sea World that much, so now he couldn't go on it. I stopped trying at that point. People get easily confused in their memories.

:confused3

Could he be thinking of Stanley Falls at Busch Gardens? It's funny how we get memories mixed up like that. This summer in Madrid I was totally confused when something wasn't where I remembered it to be and I thought "How could they have remodeled this statue?" Well, the other part I was remembering was in a different part of the city. I had mixed up the statue and the fountain in my mind and I could have sworn they were together. Even now, if I close my eyes I can see the one that I made up! :flower:

Would he be thinking about the Jungle Cruise?
It's got water and it's sort of close to Frontierland, but nothing else fits.

Maybe he is talking about SplashMountain and does not realize it. You can see it from the train but it is a different vantage point so maybe he is debating with himself!

I agree, I think he's confused about how he remembers Splash Mt. and somehow his memory split it up into two different things. I told him that just means we have to go back more often, so he doesn't get things mixed up! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Bush Gardens has a water log ride that was one of the first rides they had and it was themed like splash mountain. He could be thinking of this. The ride is in Tampa just a hour down the road.

That sounds like the ride that Cypress Gardens had.

Splash Mountain is the only thing that remotely fits into your Dad's explanation (and even it doesn't fit to a T!! ;) The log, water ride, viewing pictures.....He has to mean Splash Mountain!?!?
Isn't it funny when your mind plays trips on you!!!
