Help, Do You Have Gas?

Very little gas here in GA......this morning at 6am people were lined up at the gas stations! Even lined up in the road to get in!
Usually at 6am on a Sunday there is probably 2 people at this gas station where I stop to buy a newspaper.
Crazy!!!

Thanks for all the info. I'm feeling better about the day trip to MB. The trip to Gatlinburg is still iffy. I'll need to fill up somewhere around Statesville, that should get me past the Hickory-Ashville part of the trip. Oh, well that's not until next weekend so I guess I'll just wait and see.

There's about 5 or so stations here in High Point, NC that's out of gas. And that was on the southern part of Main Street and another main thoroughfare.

Not good. Every time a gas station gets anything, cars line up at least 30-50 deep, police have to come and direct traffic and make sure no guns are pulled (literally!), and then within a few hours, the gas is GONE again!

Last night we went out. Only 3 gas stations had gas on our way, all had very long lines. On our way home, those 3 gas stations too were out of gas!

DH and I are only going where we NEED to go and not going anywhere else.

Now add the very precarious Wachovia situation and we have a lot to stress over.

What is the word on Charlotte getting gas? We seem to have plenty here in the Lex-WS area. Everyplace I passed yesterday had gas and not a lot of cars.

Yay! I made to Myrtle Beach and back with no problems. Tomorrow is the Gatlinburg journey. So any info on the Gas situation in Western NC (basically I-40 from Statesville to TN) would be greatly appreciated.

Gas is still hit and miss here in Asheville. Some stations have it early in the morning, some late in the afternoon and some not at all. I can't really report more than that. Some stations that had gas all week are now out.

FYI--many stations here in town closed for the day last Sunday to reserve supplies for the work week. I have not heard what they are planning for this weekend, but I will keep you posted as I hear anything.

Thanks to a local radio station, I found a wonderful tool to check on gas availability.

It tracks sales of gasoline at various retail locations and will give you a list of who has recently sold gasoline.

Side note: Um, of course I have gas, did you see my tag?
