Hi All,

Right my eldest daughter who has always shrugged her shoulders to mine and my youngest's Disneyland Paris adventures has suddenly decided that she is missing out and wants to come. :cool1:

I have been looking at the 17th-20th December going via eurostar. I have checked going direct from Ashford and you would not believe the price :sad2: but i have found going from Ebbsfleet(which is actually nearer to us) to Lille for £155 for all 3 of us.

My question is this.... How do you get from Lille to Marne la vallee.?? Is it simple to do and how much would it cost. I have absolutely no idea where to begin.:confused3

Thanks

I've not done it myself, but think there are quite frequent and fast servicces between the two...I'm sure some smart person will come to your rescue soon!!

Well I hope I've come to the rescue but I wouldn't say smart!!

Thanks for that :thumbsup2 much appreciated.
Mmmmm, may have to think again, the TGV is not as cheap as i thought it would be. We may have to fly :sad2: which i didn't really want to do especially after our Feb trip with Air France. But the good news is we can all go with Easyjet for £220.68. Not bad i thought!!

Sounds like a very good price to me. Must be cheaper than the Eurostar and then the TGV

AAARRRGGG, This is driving me mad. By the time you add on the VEA or TGV from CDG it's around the same price as the Eurostar.
I can get an indirect train from Ashford going out, stops at Lille and then transfer to the TGV for £97.50 (all 3 of us) Direct train coming back (no indirect by the looks of things) for 202.50 for all of us. Bit of a difference in price there. £300 in total.

What i find really really strange is the indirect train to Lille actually departs the same time as the direct train and is the same train number. :confused3 I conclude it is indeed the same train as when we went a few weeks ago our direct train stopped at Lille due to the channel tunnel fire.
From Lille onwards there was no-one to check our tickets and nobody checked them when we go off. So...... it seems really silly to me that you have to get off a train that you KNOW is going all the way to DLP.
I know it sounds awful but if had more guts i would be very tempted to book it all and then just not get off the train in Lille, sit tight all the way to DLP :lmao:

Do that and all pretend to be asleep if anyone comes to check :woohoo:

You can book tickets from Ebbsfleet to Disneyland via Lille online at the Eurostar website. Eurostar supply both their own ticket and the one for the TGV and this usually works out a lot cheaper than getting a separate ticket from Lille. Eurostar sell tickets to any TGV station in France which obviously includes Marne la Vallee.
