Hi All,

I have so enjoyed looking at all of your creative ideas for t-shirts and autograph books and wondered if I could tap into your creativity to help decorate two off property rooms. I really want the magic of Disney and was hoping that I might be able to create some of it in our rooms.

So far, I have though about the treat cards for each night and a welcome kit for when we get there (we have 2 3-bedroom condos of sort for 12 people). I have people ranging from 1 to 71 years old but when it comes to Disney everyone is a kid at heart.

I would really appreciate any tips or thoughts you might have. The only other thought I had was looking into any Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party supplies but I am sure that would get pricey quickly so I was hoping for some things that I could make myself.

THanks for all of your help!

1. Go to the Dollar Tree...they have tons of Disney things that you could incorporate into your "welcome" kits and everything is just a dollar.

2. Have "welcome" letters on your front doors or even bedroom doors for the people sleeping in that room. Natalie has a lot of blank ones that you can personalize by putting a text box over them in MS Word. Send me a pm if you can't find them.

3. How about making some candy wrappers for your "welcome" kits. Bababear has wonderful candy wrappers in her thread! And Telynn has cute wrappers in hers that make gum and chocolate nuggets look like disney characters.

4. If you didn't want to do Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party supplies...again the dollar tree has plastic table cloth covers and other things that you could get in "mickey colors" like red and blue and then maybe just get the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse napkins to match. If you need a cheap centerpiece for the tables...check out my centerpiece in this thread:

You could use pictures of disney characters on all four sides and again use red or royal blue for the tissue paper. For next to nothing...you would have a cute centerpiece for your diningroom tables!!!

5. What time of year are you going? We went close to Christmas and took a small christmas tree and decorated it with disney ornaments and put a wreath on the front door with a removable hook.

6. Check out the what do you make thread as you may find things in there to make: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2179996

7. Make backpack/name tags for everyone in your group that has a disney character on the front and cell phone numbers on the back for everyone traveling with you so that if someone gets lost from the group and/or looses their cell phone...they will have everyones contact numbers.

8. Check out the travel page thread...there may be some games that you can make to add to your "welcome kits". Also there is a fun card game that is great for big groups like yours if you need something fun to all do together in the condos. It is called spoons/pig or can't remember the other version name...but it is in the travel thread.

9. hummmm....there must be several hundred other things I'm not remembering! Check out #6!

Wow, thank you so much, your ideas are terrific. I will check out your posts now.

Also, we will be celebrating both my Mom and Dad's birthday while we are there and I found a great site that will print their pictures on a Mickey Mouse plate so I think that I might do that too.
