I think I may be driving myself insane, but here goes

I have an option right now of going to Universal the week of Christmas this year (staying offsite) with some christmas special promo offers for a hotel. What are the crowds like during this time (12/23 - 12/28) in the parks? :confused3

Or should I just wait and go in April 12-18, 2008 when the crowd levels are lower?

I've never been to Orlando and so I have no knowledge what it's like in the parks, weather, christmas, etc. Any help would be great . . .

Sorry posted this in the wrong folder/thread :sad2:

If you've never been to Orlando, I wouldn't recommend coming at Christmas time..it's the busiest time of year and you would hate the crowds. I would wait until April...even if it's Spring Break the crowds won't be as bad. I would hate for you to come here during Christmas and not get to do much...it would leave a bad impression.

Thank you so much for your advice, I had a feeling that would be the case, and by what Universal has posted on their site now it says the times we would go in April is actually regular/low peak times. SO I will continue with making my plans for April '08 now. Thanks again for your help & your opinions do help especially you being the veteran Uni traveler!

Hi,
we are going in April 08, where on the universal site did you see about April being Reg/Low crowds etc?

thx for the info, we going April 10th to April 24th and was hoping it would not so busy as 1st time for us to Orlando :) and looks like it might not be to bad

Mike

My thoughts exactly since that is the same time we are going too and it's our 1st time in orlando / US & IOA. . . we're so excited :cool1:

I know what you mean by excited :cool1: we doing WDW + US/IOA and Busch Gardens (boy we will need holiday after lol) our 1st time to any of them and to the USA :)

WOW you're in for a treat then in april! Best of luck to you maybe we'll run across each other then sometime at US/IOA. . . I have to ask are you staying onsite at the resort hotels or offsite?

:cool1:

Were staying offsite in a Villa in a place called Windsor Hills Resort, needed some space as 7 of us coming :) (5 in my family + 2 friends)

As to bumping into us, just look for the Short British dude lol with a wife and 3 kids running to catch me as i run to the Hulk + Spiderman + The Mummy etc etc :rotfl2: (if you look at our profile you can see what we look like) and will glady stop and say hi etc

And rite back at you, your gonna have a WOW time as well, going by all the vids i've watched of the place so far (please dont say im sad lol, but "you tube" has been brill to get an idea of the rides lol)

This place is so nicely decorated for Christmas. I love Whoville and the Whobilation play (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) Suess landing is beautiful and even more colorful at Christmas. Getting your picture taken with the Grinch is cute too. The parades are nice!
