So I made our fast passes today and our schedule is mostly locked in, the final thing I need to decide is our last ADR. I am deciding between:

Biergarten Lunch
Biergarten Dinner (not sure if it is different enough from lunch to justify separate category?)
Cape May Dinner

We like both types of food so I'd just like to try and pick which is best. For us I think food is more important than atmosphere.

We are doing only buffets this trip (with the exception of Homecoming- DS choice for bday) because I think the format will be easier with a baby. We're doing Park Fare breakfast, Tusker House lunch and the trying to decide between these.

If you have any other recommendations they are also appreciated!

Thank you!

Hard choice! We have eaten at both, and liked both, but I would give the edge to Beirgarten. However, if sitting with strangers at your table bothers you (Biergarten) then you might want Cape May.

We just ate a Cape May last week, the food was really good, better than I had expected.

We prefer the food at Biergarten but hate the communal seating. We hate Cape May Cafe ....PERIOD. Snow crab legs not even at the "quality" level of your local Chinese buffet. Don't you have a third choice? Maybe Garden Grove at the Swan?

I was considering Boma and Trail's End as well but kind ruled them out because I was worried Boma may be a little redundant with Tusker House and Trail's End similar to Homecoming (I think we were all planning on the friend chicken at Homecoming). Now I could be wrong on both counts since I have never been to any of them and would appreciate any opinions on that too :)

I would choose Cape May. I like the dinner, but more because I think it gives you a great reason to head over to the BC and then check out resort decorations. The last time we had dinner there during the Holiday season there were carolers in the Lobby.

I would 100% pick Biergarten. It is DD and DH's favorite WDW restaurant. From the time she was 2, DD ranked it up there equal with Princess meals. You have the German band/show which is cute, a great atmosphere, a good buffet, and if you like beer or wine, you are set there too. Cape May stinks- literally. We have stayed at BC/YC the last 4 years and can hardly stand to walk by it. The seafood smell absolutely reeks. I don't know how old your baby is- but if you are talking about a 2 or 3 year old- as opposed to an infant- my DD would not get near it. Even now at age 10, she complains every time we walk by it.

My DH's first question when we arrive at WDW is "When are we eating at Biergarten?" If I did not book it, it would not be pretty!

I agree about the odor at Cape May for dinner. It's just about knocks me off my feet when I am there and walking through the resort. Bad fish smell, really bad.

My Dd (3)'a favourite restaurant last year was Biergarten. The atmosphere is incredible and the entertainment is so much fun. We are going again this year, it's her only request.

We like Cape May a lot better than Biergarten. There are far more items on the Cape May buffet that we like than there are at the Biergarten.

Another vote for Biergarten. Cape May is okay for breakfast when it doesn't reek of old fish. The re is just nothing special about the f old to me.

Another vote for Biergarten. We thought Cape May dinner was just ok... nothing special. Biergarten is fun, delicious and unique!

Our family likes both. It really depends on what your family is looking for out of the meal. Do you care if you sit with strangers and see a show, if so head to Biergarden. Do you guys want to sit alone and have seafood, if so head to Cape May. They are very different experiences, both good in our opinion. Yes Cape May does smell fishy but to their defense it is a seafood buffet, I'm not sure how they could prevent that.

The choice is simple...Sausages? Or seafood? Pick the one you like better and book it!

Both have other options, obviously, but those seem to be their specialities!

If you had not mentioned a baby, I would have suggested Biergarten for the fun atmosphere.

But that fun at Biergarten can also be loud.

Epcot also has:
Akershus (partial buffet) gets Princesses
Garden Grill has Chip & Dale

I'm guessing you want to stay in Boardwalk vicinity, otherwise, 1900 Park Fare for dinner gives the adults the added benefit of amusing Characters (Lady Tremaine & daughters) with their buffet dinner....food may be about the same as Cape May, but we find the Grand Floridian is a more charming stroll with 'nicer' shops and often a live jazz band in front of the very comfortable Mizner's Lounge.

But if we were traveling with a baby - less traveling inside Disney is best use of time....unless you need to stroll a napping child.
