Hi Guys

We will be staying at the GCH from 12 January - 19 January and have 5 day parkhoppers and just need some help deciding on which days to use the tickets.

We've ruled out the 12th and the 19th (because they are our arrival and departure days). So, that gives us 5 days to pick out of a possible six.

We would like to be in the parks on Tuesday (14th), Wednesday (15th) and Thursday (16th). So that leaves us picking two days, of the 13th (Monday), 17th (Friday) and 18th (Saturday).

Our original plan was to go Monday (13th) through to Friday (17th). My plan was to avoid the weekend, because it is the MLK Day Holiday weekend and I figured the parks would be busy on the Saturday with the combination of ROTR opening on the Friday and the Holiday.

But I have seen other people mention that Saturday can be the best time to go to Disneyland, because of some AP blockouts.

So what would you guys recommend? Presuming 14th-16th is locked in, what would you pick for the other 2 days?

Thanks in advance.

I’d hate to not go into the parks on my first and last days, so I’d skip Friday. Add the ROTR opening on that day and I think it’d make sense.

I would try and take a day off somewhere in the middle. Maybe Thursday. You'll want that break.

Normally, I'd be all about a break in the middle. But Thursday is my son's birthday - and I didn't want to sacrifice what will likely be relatively low crowd days on the Tuesday and Wednesday.

I'd pick Monday as the off day. Mondays tend to be busier days.

I know it'll be the day after you get there so that may take the wind out of your sails a bit, but you could use the day to do some activities in DtD. I've heard great things about the VOID. That along with some shopping at WoD, then enjoy all the glory of the GCH. You could even sign up for the free Art of the Craft tour at the GCH (however, not sure how old your kiddos are and if it would hold their interest).
