It's been five long years since our last trip and decided spur of the moment that it's too long overdue! We usually stay at Kidani Village....we love the animals on the "savannah", the theming and decor in the rooms, and the two full baths in the 1-BR; but decided we should stay somewhere else for a change. We have narrowed it down to The Polynesian, and Boulder Ridge at Wilderness. (Beach Club might be a third option) We will have a rental car so transportation isn't a factor in the decision. All opinions and advice are welcome!🤗

If you don’t mind sharing, what is the age makeup of your group? I ask because any kids may influence my opinion. Also agree with @chicagoshannon that the time of year may influence my opinion as well.

No 1BR units at Poly. Only studios and the bungalows on the water if you are looking at DVC units. The Poly studio has one full bath and another with a a shower and a sink. Also no kitchen in studio. It is pretty spacious for a studio though.

I'm partial to Boulder Ridge myself. I love the Wilderness Lodge and it's theme and what it has to offer. My second choice would be BWV. Great resort and walking distance to 2 parks. Like the others have said though when you are going and the make up of your group is a big consideration.

It is just my husband and I, and we leave in 2 weeks! We had no plans to go (partly because of restrictions and closures due to COVID) but then we thought maybe a trip without all the commando activities could be fun! We have been members since 1992 so this question is really about personal preferences to help find a new place to stay! Thanks!

Both of the ones you said would be closest to MK so if it's between them I guess it isn't an issue as far as what park you want to be closest to. Honestly I have never stayed at the Poly so I can't really compare the 2 but WL is my favorite so I'd be a little biased in suggesting it to you lol. Just love it there because of the feel of it when you walk in. Just so relaxing and warm.

You'll be there about the same time as us. Since your trip is in 2 weeks I'd say the Poly. If it were closer to Christmas i'd say BR.
