My parents are looking for a place to eat one dinner a few weeks from now. They want to try a place they've never been before, which, considering that they're 16-year DVC members, isn't all that easy. Of the following restaurants, which would you recommend for two fifty-somethings dining alone?

Big River Grille
Bongos
Maya Grille
Raglan Road
Captain's Grille
House of Blues
Cap'n Jack's

And why?

I voted for Captain's Grille because my DH went there with my Dad this past September with my our two kids (we were having girl's night) and they had wonderful things to say about it. They both said the food was really good and the service was great. I'm hoping to try it next time!:lovestruc

Hope you find something fun for your parents!:goodvibes

I would consider Captain's Grille as it is a real restaurant. Captain Jack's is also, but it tends to be hectic. Maya Grille is owned by the same people who operate San Angel. The rest are glorified bars that serve food.

My parents love House of Blues. They live near-by and go here quite often. I can't take it because most of there stuff has a spice to it, so that's a drawback, but as I said, it's a favorite of my parents!

I Voted Raglan Road because eventhough we haven't ate there
I like there menu selections also my DH is Irish and thought he might
enjoy eating here. We will also be going to Cirque so this will be
conventant. I Hope your parents have a Wonderful trip.

We ate at Maya Grill in August it was really nice in there and good food.
I made ress for my parents to eat there in 2 weeks . They also have been going to Disney forever and in there 70's .They are looking fwd to eating there.:thumbsup2

I voted Raglan Road because they can enjoy the entertainment while dining. :thumbsup2

Big River Grille...We love this place. Good food, good service and if the weather is nice they can eat outside and people watch.

Bongos.... Food and service have always been great here for us.

Maya Grille.... Haven't been here in a while..last experience wasn't all that great, it used to be fantastic, so it could have come around again to its original greatness since we have been there.

Raglan Road... We have eaten here many, many times since it has opened. We have taken friends, family and every loves it.

Captain's Grille... never been
House of Blues Food is very good, service can sometimes be slow, but for a relaxing meal, hubby and I don't really mind.

Cap'n Jack's... never been

And why?
