We are planning a dec 17-23rd trip roughly split into 3 disney/3 universal days (or 4 disney and 2 universal). Harry Potter World is a major priority for our family. Will be staying onsite for Universal during that part of the trip for the front of the line and early entry privileges. It looks like at Disney the first part of the trip is much less crowded than second, assume same is true at Universal? Which is more impacted by the increase? Does either park get more crowded earlier? In other words shd we do the Universal days first or Disney days first? Thanks!!!!

in all the years i have been going to both resorts, i do the motherland first.

then i do the darkside/uo.

i found that it is less hectic/slower pace and more relaxing of a vacation for me splitting my stays that way.

first: wdw, motherland
second: UO, darkside.

We are in a similar situation but are going in Nov. over Veteran's day weekend. I was thinking of going to US first, staying one night, then moving over to WDW for 4 nts. I did HP last summer, so now I am taking my 11 y/0 daughter. She doesn't like roller coasters, so we may not even ride FJ (I got motion sick) and had to go home from the park:scared1:! 1 day 2 parks at US will be plenty but I want FOTL!!!! I just have to figure out how to get from the Airport to the park and from the park to Disney and don't want to rent a car either:rotfl:. I vote 4 Disney, 2 US for you!

Depends. We look at the calender and if staying onsite we will almost always do the park with early entry in Disney. When faced with the same dilemna a week later every year when we do a NYE trip.We opt for 1 day a park,in crowded seasons there is rarely any advantage to park hopping unless you are staying onsite at USO and don't mind skipping a few attractions.
