Me and my girlfriend want to go to WDW during spring break, March 12-20, we have never been and are looking for recommendations as to where to stay and what parks are the best, as well as best clubs? & restaurants, we are both 22....

Also information that could help us save money on airfare, rooms, and tickets would be appreciated, we might drive to save money. I also heard that checking the Entertainment Passbook or AAA or even McDonalds and Wal-Mart might help save money.

Check out Mousesavers.com and allearsnet.com. They both are devoted to saving. Going during spring break may prove difficult finding deals. In Downtown Disney you may like Pleasure Island- it is a bar area and nightlife scene for Disney.

Good luck!

If you don't have a room reservation yet, call today as it's a very busy time at WDW and availability may be limited especially at the Value Resorts.

For clubs, I also recommend Pleasure Island although there are also a couple at Downtown Disney like The House of Blues.

Are you talking about this March 12-20. I think at this late date it might be best for you to get a AAA discount package and get the meal deal, or book a package through Disney (tv comercials), and also get the package deal. I think staying on site at a Value would be great, but if in your budget POR or French Quarter would be nice too. The meal plan is the thing you want...you both could have a romantic sitdown dinner (check out the restaurant board) that would be worth the $35 a day, and you would get a lunch too in that price. You should do the parks, by hopping not by doing it commando style.

I think you might be able to get a good price on SWA/jet Blue/Independence air or check out www.itasoftware.com to help you look for cheap lflights near you. Do Mears transportation...I know it's not the quickest, but it would be the cheapest for you. May people have also reported success with Dreams Unlimited (they will do your Pritority seatings for all those dinners for you), so ask for a price quote today!!!
HAve fun!! and Good Luck.
I just ran your dates on Disney web site for 7 day Hoppers plus(pleasure Island and water parks), inc the meals
$2044 at pop century. All you have left to cover is airline tickets, Alcholic Beverages, Mears, and Souvies. Sounds like a tax return check to me!!! Get those taxes filled!!! ;)

Check easyclicktravel.com for some last minute discounts for spring break time. Also, lots of folks here have had luck bidding on rooms through Hotwire or Priceline. You might also enjoy a trip to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and the City Walk area there that includes many restaurants such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Emeril's, and others. I think on the Universal site their bonus pass (go 5 days for the price of 2) is about $99.95. That's a really good deal, and my teenagers really loved the US/IOA parks, especially the Mummy Ride! US/IOA may especially appeal to you as there are more "thrill"-type rides there.

There have been some airfare price drops lately, and it pays to check the website of the airlines themselves sometimes. Check all the ones that service your area---Jet Blue, Song, Air Tran, Southwest, and the others too.

You can really save money with the Entertainment book, and they have been on sale for $10 off recently. I always buy one for our trips to Orlando. There are lots of 2-for-1 dinner and restaurant discounts, and discounts on some attractions as well.

Sign up at the Ghirardelli website for emails close to the time of your trip, and they will send you an email for 2-for-1 hot fudge sundaes that you can use at the location at Downtown Disney. The Earl of Sandwich is a great place to eat at Downtown Disney on the cheap. Sandwiches there are around $5, and they are really filling!

Someone else here probably knows more ideas to help you.

Good luck with your planning!

Thanks so much for the input, we are so excited to go. This will be our only vacation before we start our corporate careers this summer. So I'm expecting the credit card to be maxed out for a while.

And if you are a AAA member, you can use your card to get a discount here. One of the few places in Disney that actually does that for onsite purchases.

Another money saver to use in the parks is to order a double hamburger at any counter service restaurant. Buy an extra bun for $1 then stack on the condiments to make two nice burgers. Share the fries and you feed two people for the price of one meal (plus the extra $1 for the bun). You can get free ice water in a cup if you ask at the counter which saves the price of soda or bottled water.
