My hubby wants to take our daughter to the park for her 5th birthday. He wants to do this solo but his only concern is the bathroom situation. Does Disneyland have family bathrooms? Or is there so other alternative when she has to go or when he does?

Any advice would help. Thank you.

There aren't very many family bathrooms in Disneyland. And the ones you do find aren't that handy anyways because you can wait a long time to use them - families with diapers to change and toddlers learning to use a toilet are not as efficient as girls ages 4-6.

I've made several solo trips (Disneyland, WDW, DCL) with my daughter at age 4 and 5. We just go into the men's room, and there are many, many other dads doing the same with their daughters. If the handicap stall is available and there's no line, I use it - we both fit. In regular stalls, it is cozy and I would just stand outside the door while she does her thing.

As she gets older she can do more on her own and I occasionally send her into the women's room by herself. Most recently (not at Disneyland), she was just fine except that she couldn't reach the soap, so I had to whisk her into the men's room just to wash her hands.

There is a bathroom in the baby change area as well.
There is often a family/disabled stall but there can be a wee wait for these.

Hope they have fun. :)

Good for him! They'll have a blast, (But I'm thinkin wild horses couldn't keep my DW from going if I were!). I'll second taking her into the men's room. Just have him carry her, go straight into a stall, quick wash, and out. I guarantee you nobody in there will even blink an eye. Happens a lot I bet. No big deal.

There are always plenty of boys in the women's rest room. I'd imagine the opposite is also true.

They will be fine.

Go with them if you can. If you can't, it will be a magical bonding time for them.

Last month I took my 4 and 8 year old sons to Disneyland by myself. My 8 year old son is on the autism spectrum and doesn't go into the men's room alone so I had to bring him in to the ladies' restroom. I was not the only mom bring a young and/or slightly older son into the ladies' room and I never got any weird stares or comments (which I had been nervous about) leading up to the first potty break of the day. I imagine him taking your daughter into the men's room will be just fine! I hope they have a great time! :)

At that age I took DS in the ladies room with me, and DH took DD in the mens room with him, when necessary. You do what you gotta do with little ones. I hope they have a great trip!

I took DD5 for a 5-day daddy/daughter trip last year. As everybody has already said, nobody will blink an eye at your husband bringing your daughter into the men's restroom. It happens all day, every day.
