Okay, can some give me some reviews for the food at CP and LTT? We are trying to plan our dinner at MK and are debating where to go. I'm not too concerned about the characters...we are going with 3 adults and an (almost) 3 year old who would be excited to see anyone! I'm worried about the food quality. Thanks

CP a must! They have a the best choices of food, so you can find most anything (the carrot cake is the best). The LTT is family style so they bring you a few dishes, you can ask for more ( I hated the Stove-Top Stuffing, I can get that at home). I like CP just because of the great food, plus you will also find all of the Pooh characters there as well.

I've eaten at both, and while I enjoy both and they each have their pros and cons, I prefer Crystal Palace.

I think for my family that Crystal Palace has better food. My kids do not like the Stoffers Mac & Cheese or the Turkey at LTT. They much prefer the selection at CP.

Good things about LTT; pre-plated so you don't have to get up and I love their bread, butter and salad dressing.

LOVE CP's buffet though.

Havent had Cp, but we were not impressed with LTT. I would try cp for your group with a 3yr old. In Dec 2005 at Ltt it took forever to get our food, (dont even imagine trying to get a drink refill) and we asked for the check before dessert (didnt want to wait to get it) and it had been an hour and a half. Poor DD (5) was running out of sit in her bottom. Poor kid just had had enough and wanted to go. The food was bland, beef was actually cold. We wont be going back here. The Mac and cheese was the best part of the meal.

I would say CP over LTT especially for adults. The LTT was actually great for my kids becasue it is basic turkey, ham, roast, mashed pots, salad, etc with no fancy sauces that the kids don't like. It was nice to see them eat something other that french fries for dinner. But for adults I think CP has more variety.

I would have to say I enjoyed the food better at LTT. I wasn't impressed with the choices at CP. However, I enjoyed the environment more at CP--beautiful restaurant and great character interaction.

I have to agree with Momandseandodisney. We LOVE LTT, it has become one of our "must do" stops

:goofy: :goofy: We have eaten at both a few times. I enjoy LTT for several reasons... I enjoy not having to worry about missing a character that comes by because I am up at the buffet. Yes, I know you can keep watch and "take off" to the buffet when there's no character coming, but I just didn't like that. Also, the Crystal Palace is wildly popular and I didn't feel that there was a super organized way to keep track of people checkin in who already had ADRs, and people who were just walking up and needing to get in a line to get walk-up reservations ....too many people, not enough organization. LTT just seemed more laid back to me. More homey. (call me a dork) We LOVED getting to see all the Pooh characters and I did enjoy the food. But, we will pick LTT for this upcoming trip. We make our ADR for just before the afternoon parade and then go out and watch from the porch!! have fun :goofy: :goofy:

We like them both and do them both on each trip. If I had to choose one, I'd probably choose Crystal Palace. I like the food there better, but find it much louder and more chaotic than LTT. My husband would choose LTT for the food and the more relaxing, quiet atmopshere.. We gave our older son the choice to eat wherever he wanted on his birthday trip in May and he chose LTT.

Definately the Crystal Palace! Love the food, Love the Pooh!!! :thumbsup2

We just returned from a great weekend at Disney. We live in Florida so we go about about every 6-8 weeks. We always go to a few character meals which are the highlight of our visits for our 3 year old twins. I think we have been to all of the character meals over the last year. Our girls love Tigger and Pooh so I figured that we should eat at the Crystal Palace on this trip (along with 1900 Park Fare--Cinderella, and Liberty Tree Tavern). The Crystal palace was by far the worst character meal we have been to. The food was actually quite good although the kids buffet only had mac'n'cheese and chicken fingers. I clearly remembered mini hot dogs from a prior visit but not this time.
We were seated without too much of a wait. We ate our entire meal including two trips to the dessert bar without a visit from any of the 4 characters. In fact ,75 minutes passed without a character coming anywhere near our section of the restaurant. After an hour, I asked our waiter if something was wrong. He went to ask the character handlers what was wrong---he really didn't get an answer. We noticed that Tigger ad Piglet kept visiting the same 4-5 tables and actually spent about 15 minutes at one particular table. Then just as we were hoping that they would head in the direction of our section....they went on break!!!! Other people in our forgotten about section began to complain to the hostesses who seemed to be very frustrated as well. I then got up and went over to one of the handlers who replied "You must have had at least one of the characters by now....I just got back from my lunch" .
I then asked to speak to the manager. She assured me that this was not a typical experience and she offered us a breakfast the next day. When i explained that we were leaving after lunch she finally took my girls over to each of the four characters for a picture. The handlers seemed quite bothered by this.
We will never go back. We will stick with Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, and 1900 Park Fare. Another parent at another table told me he had the same experience last time he was there (and sat at our exact table).
I am now thinking of reporting this meal experience to guest services so that perhaps someone else doesn't have to go through the same thing!! Especially for that kind of money!!!!

I've never been to Crystal Palace, but I think Liberty Tree Tavern was REALLY great, and I loved the feel of the atomsphere. :)

I love the menu at LTT (Turkey, stuffing, Mac and cheese) but it tasted horriable... I vote for CP and it will be awhile till I go back to LTT.
