Which one would you recommend for characters?
and which one you recommend for food?

Hi there! :wave2: Are you asking about dinner or breakfast? I have eaten at Chef Mickey's for breakfast several times, CP once for breakfast and once for lunch. I have never eaten at LTT, so I am sorry, but I cannot yell you yay or nay on that one.

CM is our favorite character breakfast (we have eaten at almost all of them) for overall food and atmosphere. I really like seeing the monorail zoom overhead, and to me, Mickey and Minnie are the 'stars" of WDW. CP was also excellent, I just like the atmosphere at CM a bit better.

As for dinner, I was BLOWN AWAY by the food selection at CP. I was not enthused about eating there, but it was all we could get for our MNSSHP night. I could not believe how tasty, fresh and interesting the food was. If I can find my link to my review, I will post it here.

I have heard mixed reviews of the dinner at CM. I probably will try it eventually, but it is not at the top of my list to try. I like do character meals at breakfast, and then I like have a *nice* dinner in a *nice* restaurant (Jiko, CG, BZ) for dinner.

Hope this helps, I am sure you will have a blast whichever you choose! :cheer2:

We've gone to all three several times. I probably like Chef Mickey's best because it's a fun atmosphere. I think the food was comparable to CP, which I also like. LTT is a bit different since it's family style rather than a buffet although food was good and IMHO the characters came around more often (DW thought too much).

LTT. Hands down the absolute best characture interaction at any characture meal. The food is Thanksgiving-ey and yummie.

Characters: CP (although this is just an opinion based on the fact that our kids love the Pooh characters)
Food: LTT - just good food.
All-Around: Chef Mickey's - we hit CM the night we arrive every year - nothing else get's you in the Disney mood like waving your napkin with Mickey. It makes me want to just hand over all my money and credit cards right there!

Hi DW, I live in Gonzales :wave2:
It's been a long time since I've done LTT but plan on trying it at MNSSHP 2006. I've heard nothing but good reviews of the food and character interaction.

I've never done Chef Mickey's but have heard mixed reviews.

Crystal Palace would probably get my vote. I have eaten there several times for lunch and I love the Pooh characters. The food is always great and they also have a good selection of desserts. Plus CP itself is so pretty inside!

I would say Crystal Palace for food. Characters, it would depend on who you want to see. Chef Mickey has Mickey (duh), Minnie, Goofy, Chip, and Dale. The Crystal Palace has Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pigglet, and Eyeore. We had fun at both, plan on doing Chef Mickey's on or next trip, but I actually prefer the Crystal Palace. Not much help, huh? :rotfl2:

We really loved CM's food and character interaction. I also really liked CP as well. Have never been to LTT, food doesn't interest me there. Between CM & CP, I think it would depend on which characters you want to see more. We will eat at CM every trip as are 1st night dinner to get in the disney spirit. It is a great way to start. I would probably do CP if I was wanting to eat inside MK.

BTW, I'm in Hammond neighbors.

CP has a good selection of food for dinner. We enjoyed it there. :Pinkbounc

We ate at LTT and CP, and while we liked the food at both places, the character interaction at LTT was a tad better. CP seemed a bit more rushed.

We've got ADRs at all three for our trip in two weeks. Of the three, we've only been to CM's before. We'll be doing that our first night as we will not be entering the parks that day. We enjoyed both the food and the character interaction at CM during our last visit. :goodvibes As a pp mentioned, we think the dinner with ::MickeyMo will get us into the spirit for hitting MK early the next AM...

That's a hard decission! We love them all but I am leaning toward LTT. It is so nice to be waited on instead of having to get up and down to go to the buffet after touring the parks. Food is great at all three, characters have been great at all three, CM is a little more rowdy and fun.

I have eaten at all 3 and enjoyed the food at LTT the best. It was traditional Thanksgiving type fare. CP and CM buffet are pretty much equal in what they offer and I really didn't care for either.
For character interaction, I enjoyed CM best with CP a close 2nd. I loved traveling to the Contemp via monorail and watching the monorails pass through. I think this is definitely a must do just for the experience, especially if you aren't staying there.
I enjoyed the characters the least at LTT, just simply because where we were seated, it was very cramped area not much space to move around and it was quite dark. Even our photos didn't turn out well there.

Is that supposed to encourage or scare? :rotfl2: We plan on doing CM for the first time in May.

I am speaking of dinner at all three of these places. I would recommend LTT for the characters. The food is good, too, though! I would recommend CP for the food-- VERY good for a Disney buffet. The characters were great there, too-- I just prefer the 'classic' characters at LTT.

Sorry, but I cannot recommend CM for anything... the food is really bad, and the setup makes it so crowded that the characters were not effective, either. It really is a zoo there.

We loved LTT. We enjoyed it more than CM. We've never been to CP. The food was good, and the characters seemed to come around more often. My children were 12, 10, and 8. Hope that helps.

We have been doing meals with our kids several times a year and (other than 1900 for breakfast and dinner) I would most recommend LTT. Food-wise, the quality is excellent. Sure, it doesn't have as many selections as the buffets, but it is MUCH more civilized than the buffets, too. Charachter-wise, also, my DD6 and DS3 had a much better time. They come around more often and are more playful. Minor plus: as a history major, I appreciate the theme. CM and CP are certainly fun, but they are a zoo (especially CM from my experience).

It amazes me how many people are not even aware of LTT, but anyone I know who is going now, I tell them to dine there when they are in the MK.

Hey DW! I am in Baton Rouge, too! GEAUX TIGERS!
Anyway, we went to LTT and CM in September. I didn't like LTT food at all. CM was awesome, though. Of course, we went to CM right after checking in on our first night, so we were excited anyway- it wasn't the best food, but the interaction and just plain 'ol fun was great. Even when the characters were with someone else, it was fun and lively. And when we went to LTT, we didn't go during a character meal. we had ADRs for CP, but missed them. That's a must on our next trip for sure! Good luck in whatever you decide! Merry Christmas!

I would rather try cp next time. Our food wasnt very good at LTT and our service was bad. 3 times he said he was bringing more cokes out, after the 3rd time we finally got them and it took forever to eat here! We passed on dessert so we could finally get out of there!!!!!! The food was rather blaugh, nothing that we dont eat at home. Heating ham slices isnt science and I would rather spend the money on food that tooks some effort to prepare. Have a good trip!
