Thank you all for your advice. My head is still spinning and so full with all I have been reading :rotfl:. Just booked the doubletree suites in Times Square so that has made it all the more real and so so exciting.

Have made a couple of ADRs. Most obviously are booked out but that's ok :)

Still no idea where to stay and not sure on whether to do the free meal plan or utilise the discounted room. My 3 and 6 year old eat very little so don't know whether it is worth it or not. Normally when out we just get an extra plate for miss almost 3yr old and take food from each of our meals?....

Also is it worth it to buy one annual pass to get discounts. Has anyone done that and did you get your money back. Are the discounts on rooms bigger than what is normally out there. For the time we are away there are discounts ranging from 20-30% off rooms.

Thanks again

My suggestion. Stay in a value resort like Pop Century, do not worry about the free dining, eat with a few ADR's as you have done, I would not buy an Anuual Pass just for the discounts unless you get an extra discount off the room rate. The rooms are normal studio size and very nice even in the values, staying onsite at Disney is the plus and a convenience!

I think the whole annual pass thing varies from person to person. But for what it's worth, I priced up the cost of getting an Annual Pass and Tables in Wonderland card for my 11 night stay (that is back when I was looking at staying at CSR). It was not going to save my family any money. In fact it was probably going to cost us money.

Sometimes these threads can get really confusing.

But I will add my 2cents worth,

You won't be able to have five in the room at any of the values, so your best option is port Orleans, they have rooms with two queen beds and a Murphy style fold out bed, which will be fine for one of your kids as they are only young,

If free dining is still on offer definitely take it. Even though your kids don't eat much, if you plan on doing any of the character meals or buffets you will be charged for them regardless. With kids that age, you really will want to do a couple of these meals. As for the bookings, keep looking people change plans and cancel do time slots can become available.

You are correct, forgot about the five. Staying at a moderate is cheaper for that time than a suite at Pop or AOA.

Hi all
Just wanted to come back and say thanks for all your help. Our disneyworld trip has fallen through. A lot of different factors just made it impossible right now. We will get there in a few years and then I will be able to plan it properly.

The good news is we are still going to the US, visiting the west coast instead. So disneyland here we come.

Thank you all again.
