We are brand new dvc members and are adding a stay at one of the dvc resorts at the end of Aug(stay won't include a weekend) Which resort(assuming availability)would you choose, and why,for a teen and 2 preteens? TIA

Since it's only 4 1/2 months out, you might not have a great choice. We love it at the BWV. We appreciate being able to walk to EPCOT and MGM, and we enjoy people-watching on the Boardwalk. The pool is nice, but not as nice at BCV.

For a teen and two preeteens without question I would choose Beach Club Villas. That pool complex simply has no competition. The kids are old enough so that you do not have to keep an eye on them evey minute and it will give them some freedom to roam. Secondly it is close to MGM, which has the two big thrill rides for them. Also there is access to the Boardwalk. If you cannot get into the Beach Club then I would go with the Boardwalk Villas. The hotel is just as nice, but the pool is not quite as spectacular. I have stayed at both of then and enjoyed them very much. Have fun deciding.

Completely agree with Melissa. And we've stayed at both as well.

I agree with the above posters....I would choose either BWV or BCV. The access to MGM and Epcot is excellent - as well as the night-life of the Boardwalk. Also, there are plenty of acitivities at the Boardwalk as well. :sunny:

Have fun!!!

Good luck with such a short time to make your reservation.

I think the pool at BCV would br great that time of year.

I guess it depends on wether you have girls or boys. Shop or Play! :confused3

All the resorts have nice pools, except BVC which a Water Park!

The Beach Club or Boardwalk would be great, but we also like the Wilderness. Any of these have several restaurant choices and good pools lots going on. Try for the Beach Club or Boardwalk first, Wilderness 2nd. Good Luck! :)

Several of the above posts assume swimming is a priority.

I'd also recommend SSR for teens and tweens. DTD / PI / WE are short walk / bus / boat ride away, and there's plenty for that age to do, night after night after night....

Whatever DVC resort you will have a great time.
