Help! Car rental return at Shades of Green

Okay, after much drama, I finally booked my rental car last night through Alamo. I will be picking up the rental in Miami at the airport and return it at Shades of Green when we get to Disney. On the way back, we will pick up the car at Shades of Green and drop it of in Miami again.

I figured we could check in at ASMu and then drive the car over to Shades of Green to drop it off, then take a bus to MK or TTC. Now I am reading that you can't enter Shades of Green property without a military ID. I knew that you couldn't stay there without a military ID, but there was no mention of that being needed to enter the resort to return or pick up the rental car.

Will I run into trouble with this? Will I be allowed to enter the resort?

I don't plan on hanging out, I just want to return the car.

If I have the confirmation print out, will they let me in? Has any body else dealt with this before? Help!

You do NOT need military ID to access the rental car counters at SOG. We picked up a car there in May with no problem. Just tell the guard at security what you're there to do and they'll wave you through.

Thank you! I called Shades of Green and the lady at the front desk told me that they make exceptions for car rentals and that they would let me in. When I asked if I would need my confirmation print out she passed me on to the head of security who told me that I would not be allowed in and instead they would direct me to the Car Care Center.

I don't want to go to the car care center because I don't think there is transportation back to the resort, am I wrong about that? I may call and see if I can drop off at the Dolphin instead.

I got confirmation from several different people at the resort that we wouldn't need military ID to pick up our car. And we didn't even need to show the rental confirmation print-out when we got there. The security guard just directed us to the rental counter. You will be fine. Don't worry about the CCC or the Dolphin, SOG will be fine.
