HELP -can't PM

Can someboday give me a hint on what I might be doing wrong...I'm trying to PM someone and am getting an error msg that says -

phrase----post count too low----

(well, something close to that)

You can't for exactly the reason you are getting in the message-your post count is too low to pm someone.

You must have more than a certain number of posts on the boards before you can have access to private messaging.
