Help, can't join the game!

I'm trying to register and it's asking for my e-mail address as my member name. I'm putting in all my info and it's saying that my member name is already taken and I should pick another one. If it's supposed to be my e-mail address, how can it be taken? What am I supposed to do now?

Never mind, I figured it out. Amazing what you can learn by just reading the help section, huh.
