Help everyone, I have seen pictures of a "cake" made from candy bars mini's or reg size. Does anyone have directions on how to make them. Some I've seen use syrofoam for inside, but I've seen some for sale on the net claiming to use 100 min candy bars, so how do they get them together, hot glue?

I'd love to make one for a friends birthday.

Thanks!

i have never heard of this but i imagine that a styrofoam core would work. to glue the candy bars on you could use chocolate frosting or even royal icing, which is a stiff icing made from powdered egg whites and water practically. hope this helps!

Hey Kim--I can't help you on your cake but it sounds yummy. Have you done a search on Yahoo or google for the receipe? When I was looking for Salsa receipes I found alot of great ones this way.

Hey, what part of TN are you from? I'm from Gallatin. Lived here in this area all my life---Gallatin and Hendersonville.

Good luck on your search.

Thanks for the replys, please keep them coming!

The candy bar cake can be seen on ebay or a few sites that sell them I done several searches but theyare all sellers and I want to know how its done ;)

Its very cute, its not technically a "cake", just the shape of one like a "diaper" cake.
The one I liked the best has a row of mini candy bars ie baby ruth, snickers crunch etc lined up around the cake and tootsie rolls around the bottom and bars on top.

I live in Pulaski about 70 miles south of Nashville, we make it to Frankin/Nashville about once a month. Good to see a fellow Tennessean ::yes::

If so I think that the other poster is correct,, this is what I would do, using a cake round for the bottom and having it at least 4 inches larger than your bottom layer. Make you bottom layer out of styrofoam and attach it to the round. Glue your candy bars around the sides and then add your top layer to the bottom one this one should be 2 inches small the than the bottom one, more glueing to the sides and then the top could be layered as a circular fan towards the center with whatever "topper" you want. Fill in all areas with tootsie rolls or other wrapped candy.

I love this idea and will use it some time. thanks for the post.

Hey Kim,
I know where Pulaski is....straight down I-65 and just a little west. I have relatives that live in Pulaski (I think) and in Lawerenceburg. They're my mom's cousins so don't know them all that well. Haven't been there in 6 or 7 yrs. When we're coming home from Panama City we know we're not far from Nashville when we see the Columbia and Pulaski exit signs!

I think someone found your cake and posted it. Looks interesting and different.

Hope to see you on the site again!!
