HELP! Cancellation question!

Hi Guys,

If anyone could answer my question, I'd be forever grateful!

My DF and I are considering nixing our Disney wedding all together for a cheaper and smaller ceremony on the day of our planned reception on Feb. 24. Now, I do recall that if we cancel with DFTW they take our $500 deposit, but I CAN'T remember if there was some sort of date deadline that you must cancel by. We haven't paid for our DFTW in full yet, that would be due Jan. 9th (we're schedule for an intimate wedding on Feb. 9th).

I don't have a copy of my intimate wedding contract in my email inbox anymore. I know I have a copy at home, but the problem is that I'm visiting family in another state! Does anyone know what the cancellation guidelines are for an intimate? Any help would be VERY much appreciated, I've gotta leave for a plane in two hours!

I can explain our reasons for cancelling later. This is all still up in the air. HELP!

here is what my initmate contract states:

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations must be sent in writing to your coordinator at least thirty (30) days prior to arrival at the Walt Disney World Resort. Cancellations received within thirty (30) days are subject to penalty. Notification of cancellation can be sent via email, fax or US Mail.

Yep, we're still going with the mouse TinkBride. I was torn on having an at-home wedding with all of our family involved because of some hurt feelings, but ultimately I need to follow what I want from the heart . . . and that just so happens to be a DFTW.

You just can't make everyone happy!

Thank you! I love how you girls give me the infectictious feeling of getting excited for our DFTWs!

And yay for weddings on the 9th!

I'm very excited. This next month can't seem to go fast enough! We should be busy though, my DF and I both have our birthdays in the month of January. There's going to be a lot of celebrating to do this time of year from now on . . . Christmas, New Years, our birthdays, our wedding anniversary, and Valentine's Day! The rest of the year might just be a bore!
