Hello,
I have a question I was wondering if anyone can help me with.
We are traveling to Orlando and are staying 2 nights at Nickelodeon resort(my son is a Ninja turtle fanatic). The going on a 4 night Disney cruise, then spending 3 nights at Wilderness lodge.
My question is when I purchase my resort package if I select say a 5 day park pass can we begin to use it for our first 2 days in Orlando even though we will not be checking in to our Disney World resort until later in the week?
I know once you use your pass it is good for 14 days but would we be able to use it before checking in to WDW resort?
This would be much cheaper than buying a 2 day pass and then a 3day with our resort package.
Thanks for your help.

It is possible to pick up package tickets before the start of the package (this is one of those questions where you may get an official "no," but many people - including my family - have experienced an unofficial "yes."). However, they can only be picked up a maximum of three days before your check in. So that would not work for you as you need them earlier than that. Sorry.

If you are purchasing a resort package with a discount based on buying a complete package (room and tickets) then you have to get your tickets directly from Disney. However, if you have a discount just on your hotel room, you can choose to do a room-only discount, then buy your tickets from an authorized reseller such as Undercover Tourist. That way, you get a discount on the tickets, and they mail the tickets directly to you. So you would have them in hand before you get to Orlando. And, as you know, they are good for 14 days from first use.

Mikser, you won't be able to pick up your package tickets as early as you need them. Maximum early pick-up is three days before check-in. Does your resort stay at WL have to be a package? After all, it's only 3 nights. It might be just as easy to book room-only, look for discounts to appear, and charge meals to your room account. If you get a package, order minimum tickets. One-day base tickets are minimum for paid dining, two-day base tickets are miniumum for free dining. Per person - per room.

As was suggested, get the real tickets you will be using from a discount source such as my favorite, UnderCover Tourist. If you have a package at WL, get the package tickets put onto plastic media and take them home with you. They will not expire, and they are legally transferrable. Or you could use them on another trip. They will be upgradable up to 10 day tickets.
