to me. I am confused - What is the difference between the tickets:
Magic Your Way -
Park HOpper
MYW -no exp.
Park Hopper no exp.

so confused!!!:confused3

I could be wrong, but I think you can add the hopper option and the option to have your remaining days not expirevto the Magic Your Way tickets. Each option adds a litte $$$ to the cost of the ticket.

Magic Your way is just what they call them now, meaning they can be customized to your needs. Check the WDW website to be sure.

Magic Your Way -- The (trademarked) name of the tickets issued since the start of 2005.

Park Hopper -- The (trademarked) name of the tickets issued from sometime in the early 1990's through 2004. Also the generic name of a ticket that allows visiting more than one main theme park in a given day.

Park Hopper Plus -- Trademarked name for pre-2005 tickets that included visits to water parks and Pleasure Island (Water Park Fun & More). This latter feature is sold separately for Magic Your Way tickets and can go with MYW tickets of any length.

No-Exp; Non-expiration -- The feature sold separately that is needed so Magic Your Way tickets do not expire (14 days from first usage). (Pre-2004 standard tickets already come with that feature.)

Park Hopper No-Exp -- Magic Your Way ticket with both hopping privileges and non-expiration.

Note: Park hopping for Magic Your Way tickets is also sold separately although it and water park fun and non-expiration can be ordered at the same time as the ticket itself.

Yep, the tickets are just called Magic Your Way tickets now.

*The hopper option costs $45 no matter how many days are on your ticket. Visit more than one park/day

*Water Park and more option is $50 no matter how many days on your ticket (costs about $40 for one visit to water park). differnt amount of visits/days on the ticket-1,2,3 day ticket 3 waterpark visits-4,5 day ticket 4 waterpark visits

*No Expiration costs $10-$155 depending on how many days on the ticket.

Was that any help?

MYW is the name of the tickets generally being sold at WDW. They are called this as you make the choice of the tickets to get. You choose the number of days and none, any, or all of three options.

A Base ticket is anywhere from one day to ten days. It allows you to go to one of the four major parks (AK, EC, MGM, MK) per day. You can leave and return to the same park. The more days on the length of the ticket the lower the per-day price.

The hopper option allows you to visit more than one major park per day. You can go to one, two, three, or all four parks on the same day and only get charged for one day use. Note that without the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

The Water Parks Fun and More (WPF&M) Option will allow you into the five minor parks (BB, DQ, PI {multi-club}, TL, WWS). You will get between three and six entries to the minor parks based on the number of base days. Again leaving and returning to a minor park on the same day does not use up another entry. However, if you go to two minor parks on the same day it will use up a second entry.

All MYW tickets will expire at the close of the 14th day from first use. If first use is on a Sunday, the tickets may be used for park entry until 11:59pm of the second Saturday. At that time any remaining entries (entitlements) are cancelled. There is a No Expire Option which costs more depending on the number of Base days on a ticket. If you get this option the entitlements on the ticket will not expire automatically at the end of the 14th day, but are good until all used up; this includes both Base days as well as WPF&M entries.

Note, any ticket may be upgraded by adding days and/or options at any time until the end of the 14th day. The two exceptions are that you cannot go beyond ten base days and you cannot do any upgrade more than 14 days after first use. You do not have to use the tickets on consecutive days.

Wow!! Thanks everyone for your replies!!! It's all becoming clear to me now.
I will reread all the posts, and check out the links. We will have about 4 days to visit parks. One of those days we will want to park hop, but not all. Wondering, if we could swing it $-wise would it be more cost effective to purchase an 8 day park hopper w/no exp. ticket. We do plan on returning in 2010. With so many options it's very difficult to make a decision. And now I'm feeling a little bit of pressure w/the idea that the prices might be increasing soon.

Say I purchase the 3day + 3day free Park Hopper thru UT, I use 4 days out of the six, can I upgrade the 2 remaining days to No Expiration at the park, and if so, how much would that cost? $45 a ticket? Thanks!

The cost of non-expiration depends on the number of days the ticket had altogether, not just the days remaining.

Non-expiration in general is not a good bargain unless the ticket will completely cover two entire vacations if not more. But then you might need it anyway because an emergency forced you to go home early.

OK this is what confuses me. If I have a basic MYW 7 day ticket and only use up say 5 of the days on my last day can I use the last 2 counts to enter 2 seperate parks? Like say I used 5 days . And I have one day left before I go home. I want to do Mgm and Animal Kingdom . Can I use it and just have it count as two seperate ticket purchases? Or will they not let you use your card more than once in a day even if you have the ticket credits?

Not saying I will do this. But we do only have 6 days but it was only a couple bucks more to do a 7 day so I did just in case we stayed a day longer. But in case we dont I wanted to know my options. Thanks!

no. park hopping is required to go to 2 different main parks in one day.

MYW days are one main park per day. max. unlimited exit/re-entry to that same park.

park hopping option allows 2 or more main parks on the same day.

water park fun & more are for plus parks which also have unlimited exit/re-entry but allow you to visit 2 or more on the same day (at a cost of one plus visit per park) without the park hopping option.

it's fairly straightforward if you look at it right. just think of the park hopping option as a license to nullify the 1 main park per day rule.
