Help BWV: Standard View Which Room/Building??

Hope to book a standard 1 BR BWV at the end of Oct. Can anyone answer these questions??
1. Is there a better standard view, what building location or room numbers?
2. Can you see Illuminations from any of the standard view rooms (building/room number) since my children are young they will most likely be asleep by then.
3. Wondering if there are a lot of standard BWV 1br... BLT has almost none and get booked fast... hoping we don't have to have a backup plan.

BWV is only one building. The standard view is off the front drive and parking lot. You might want to request close to the elevator or higher floor.

But if you haven't booked it already, you probably are going to have a hard time getting it at 7 months out for October. Pretty popular time and standard view is about 20% of the total villas.

Have you already booked something at your home resort for that time frame? You may want to do that just to make sure you get something.

There is only one building.

You can see upper Illuminations fireworks best from rooms away from the lobby not right next to it (best are upper floors, 4 or 5) and before the building curves around the corner where the last standard view rooms are (which ones overlook tennis courts and towards MGM). Thus request street/parking lot view (not tennis court) away from lobby and upper floor.

About 20% of all rooms are standard and that also means about 20% can be 1BR standards (but a lot of those are part of 2BR lock-offs). Chances of getting one end of October are low since it is a high DVC demand time and they often go during 11 month window many times of year. Best to have a back-up.

For standard view, I always request top floor, across from the bus stop. Always had a great view of the fireworks.

Someone must have cancelled or changed their reservation, freeing up the 1 Bedroom standard view.

Not uncommon for Boardwalk view to be gone and have standard view left. I called for November and this was the case for a one bedroom.

I think one bedrooms are easier to get than studios or 2 bedrooms. I was able to get a standard one bedroom one time at 7 months when I combined points with a friend who owns at BCV, we had just decided to go at that point.

I have noticed from personal experience and posts on the DIS that BW view rooms seem to be getting harder to book than standard view. I wonder if the AKV savanna view and BLT MK view point requirements have made BW view rooms seem like less of a points splurge.

We just got back from a std view 1 bedroom 4119 (booked also at 7 months), great view of illuminations. We requested high floor, across from bus stop. Check out the photos of the view here:
