Ok, we are now in 2006 & we're off to Florida in October, so i am now looking into finding the best deals for tickets - boy its a minefield out there!!!! :earseek:
We are staying 1 week at Disney
& a week on i-drive (to do universal, seaworld, IOA)
& a week in clearwater (to do busch gardens...oh & get married!) :)

i have been looking at the 7 day disney pass & it says you can go in different parks on the same day (which we want to do) & that you get 5 visits to water parks etc, Can you do a water park & theme park in the same day too???
Also can anyone recommend good ticket agencies that give out actual tickets & not vouchers?
Does attractionticketsdirect give vouchers or tickets????
Not sure whether to do 4 park flexi & D/cove (& get Busch Gardens with DC)
or the 5 park ticket & not do DC!!!
I have a headache just reading this post!!!
You guys were a god send on our last trip & i'm hoping you can be again :teeth:

Yes, with the 7 Day Premium Ticket, which I assume is what you are referring to, you get 7 days at a Disney park PLUS 5 visits to the water parks, Disney Quest and Wide World of Sports (each visit to one of the 'plus' parks counts as one day so, for example, if you went to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon on one day, it would count as two plus visits but visiting a Disney theme park and Typhoon Lagoon in one day would mean one day use from your 7 days and one 'plus' visit used - hope that makes sense)

ATD send actual tickets, not vouchers. Try visiting www.tickettruth.co.uk (or .com - can't remember offhand which it is) - it shows different ticket companies, the tickets they do and whether you get tickets or vouchers plus comparable prices. I have to say that I have done loads of research over the last couple of weeks and have found ATD to be the cheapest for the 7 Day Premium Disney ticket and the Flex Ticket. We used www.undercovertourist.com for our Disney tickets last year and they were fantastic. Sometimes they can work out cheaper, depending on the exchange rate they use when you purchase.

If you haven't been to Discovery Cove before, it is an absolutely AMAZING experience. We loved it. If you were going to do it, you might be better off getting the Sea World entry free, then buying the one week pass to Universal (although Universal are actually doing an offer at the moment where, if you buy a 2 day 2 park ticket you get another 3 days free. It works out at just over £60) and paying for a separate entry to Busch Gardens, assuming you only plan to spend one day there. Although you wouldn't get the entry to Wet n Wild, if you are planning to go to Disney Water Parks that probably wouldn't be a problem. By my reckoning, you would then get free entry to Sea World (with DC price), pay just over £60 for Universal/IOA and entry to BG at £30, saving about £10 per person. It really depends what you want to do in your second week.

I also have a headache from reading my response :rotfl: Hope that what I have written makes sense - feel free to ask again if not. I hope you have a fantastic time :teeth:

We found the best deals on tickets was buying them in the US - www.mapleleaftickets.com are based in Kissimmee and give great value for money at discounted prices and issue actual tickets not vouchers.

The newest Disney one's are called Magic Your Way , these are really flexible and give many options including passes that do not expire and the ability to hop from park to park too - plus like you mention Water Parks too.

Hi Tracey, as already mentioned ATD are definitely the best value. After loads of research I've just booked all of my tickets through them, including DC and they are tickets not vouchers. I upgraded the DC tickets to the 14 day BG and Seaworld entry for an extra $30, well worth it IMHO. I've also purchased the new 1 week Universal ticket for around £70. ATD will also price match so you really can't go wrong.

You can get a DC ticket with SW and Busch which lasts 14 days then get a special offer US ticket such as buy 2 days get 7 consecutive days entry :)

Where can you get these tickets from please Claire? I know that in 2005, a lot of retailers were selling tickets for buy 2 days get 5 free or buy 3 days get 11 free but I thought this offer ended on 31 Dec. Would be interested to know as this may work out a better option for us than the buy 2 get 3 free.

Thanks :)

Hi Joh, don't know if you're aware but ATD are now offering a one week Universal/IOA ticket for £72 and a two week ticket for £76. They are only available to UK residents. HTH,

Ah seems the offers have changed since I last looked! Keith Prowse are now offering a week holiday ticket ie 7 consecutive days at £74 for adults and £61 for children, with free UK postage. Or a two week holiday, 14 consecutive days, ticket at £78 for adults and £65 for children. For the extra £4 the added flexibility makes it worth it.

Claire ;)

Looks like you can also order these tickets direct from Universal as an exclusive to UK residents.

Another vote for mapleleaf tickets. We've purchased our "magic your way" tickets from them and the service was superb. It may be worth you having a look at those tickets as they do add-ons such as park hopping, no expiration and additional days (water parks etc). If you're confused try e-mailing mapleleaf first to see what they recommend for you.

I'm not buying any more tickets before we go as we have sometimes not used them (had too many lazy days by the pool!) but now I've found out that mapleleaf office is near where we're staying we can call in and get the rest of our tickets while we're there.

Finally, I would definately do DC if you've not done it before!

Thanks everyone i knew you would come through! We have been lucky enough to do DC & dolphin swim twice before, but my parents are coming this time & have not been to Florida before, I would love them to try DC. My DF & i would proberbly not do the swim but my parents could with my DD, just got to talk them into parting with their hard earned cash!!
When i priced tickets with DC it was about an extra £250 per family more than paying for BG seperatly in a 5 park flexi.
Thanks for the advice, i will let you know what we end up with!! Parents are in Spain at the moment so got to wait till they get back in 2 weeks now, but i will have a long list waiting for them lol!

I bought tickets from Transolar Holidays before Christmas - they were the cheapest and gave tickets. I asked ATD to price match but they refused.

Since then things have changed and they now seem to be the most expensive (price of 4 park ticket has gone up £10).

Last February there were deals going around (we got 1/2 price child 4 park flextickets) and I know someone who got a good deal at the beginning of June.

I wouldn't rush into buying anything right now as you have tons of time. The prices have just gone up so they shouldn't go up again before you leave other than by the exchange rate changing - and currently it's moving in our favour.
