Disney has stopped showing the Bedtime Stories in the resort rooms. They have also modified the wake up call so that only Stitch's ugly voice wakes you up in the morning.

Many people are upset/disappointed. The stories have been a part of the Magic!

I have an address!!!

PLEASE~! Help bring back the bedtime stories. Write to this address telling them how disappointed/upset you are at the fact that the bedtime stories are no more and you would like Mickey, Minnie and Goofy to wake you up. The CM told me to be sure to include your phone number.

TIA!

There was another thread about this on the family board. We made phone calls and they swore they had not taken them off LOL!!

I will write again.

I wish they would bring them back. We missed them our last trip.

Some people might really want to help but never get around to actually writing a letter and mailing it out. If you can possibly get an e-mail address I would bet you'd get a much bigger response. Just a thought.

I sent an email. I hope it helps. My family loved the bed time stories. I will say, I love Mickey and the others waking me up, however, my DD 9 is a huge stitch fan. She loved having him wake her up. :sunny:

I hate to say it but with the EMH they want you in the parks spending money .

Not at the resort watching bedtime stories.

I don't think having the stories made us say, "Ok, let's skip out of the parks tonight so we can be home in time to watch The Little Mermaid bedtime story."

Some of us are more early birds than night owls. Most nights we are all in bed at BCV by 9pm. That's because we are early risers and we don't burn the candle at both ends.

It is a nicety, a part of the magic, that you would think costs them very little at all to broadcast on one of the channels for what is it, 2 hours at night?

While we haven't been to WDW since this change was implemented, we will be going in December. I will say that I do sit down, or sometimes lay in their beds and watch the story with them. It's a nice way to wind down for the night...kids and adults alike.

What are they showing in its place? Anything?

I don't think dumping the bedtime stories has anything to do with EMH. Otherwise, the tvs wouldn't work in any room on EMH nights.

I sent an email a few months ago and actually received a phone call back! I was very surprised by the return phone call but the news was not what I was hoping for. I was told by a VERY nice cm that they were discontinued as Disney was always trying new things- And they currently did not have any plans to bring them back. :confused3 I think this was back in Feb.

I miss bedtime stories too but I do enjoy (my kids too) the classic shorts they have been playing...Can anyone say Lambert..over and over and over again? :)

I want the bedtime stories back too...but I have to say, we LOVED the Stitch wake up call!

Hi everyone!!

I sent an e-mail a few weeks ago about and got a call back this weekend (a very pleasant surprise!!) - I wasn't home but the woman left a very nice message on my answering machine.

Apparently, Disney wants to take advantage of some "new technology" that they have for the bedtime story program. She didn't give a timeframe as to when this would be up and running. I did note in my e-mail that I would be at WDW in October - I assume she would have told me to look for it on my next visit if there were an official start date of this yet.

Also, I mentioned the wake up call program in my e-mail. The woman who left me a message told me that the characters rotate.

I thought this was quite positive news!!!

I just emailed them....Well now we have to see what new Technology Disney is going to come up with to replace it......

I too just emailed and asked for the story return. My grandson really missed these on our last trip and we both kept changing channels to try to find them!

After a long day at the park, the children look forward to this while they enjoy the Mickey ice cream bars.

I got a phone call last week also! :thumbsup2

The woman was very nice, and said that Disney really looks at complaints like this. They really pay attention when people are not happy with something. She could not promise me anything, but did say my letter had been forwarded to the people who can do something. She did say that Disney really responds the the surveys, which tells me that the resort surveys indicated the bedtime stories were not wanted? Not sure, but I find that hard to believe. My Dh says that if the survey indicated anything negative about the stories, it mught be to change the stories, not get rid of them.
