Help Booking Trip for British Cousin

Hello I was wondering if there are any British Disney Travel specialists you could recommend for me....My husband's cousin lives in England (doncaster) and has asked my help to plan a trip for him either in May (end may around 18 -28th or so) or last 2 weeks of August are the times he's looking at currently. They are first timers. If he was Canadian/ or American I could offer him great advice, but i have no idea how the packaging works for the UK. Do you know of someone I could put him in touch with for quotes, and who will work for the best deals??? I'd love to get him free dining or a good room discount. We've narrowed down that a room at AKL in a bunk bed room, with a club level add on would be what would work well for him.

Any help from my British Dis'ers would be much appreciated!!

why not use the disney UK website ?

it's the european counterpart of Walt Disney Travel Company.

you can't book club levels with them without calling.

But you could also book with Disney USA direct (CRO or DRC) as if it were for you.
Packages are the same. The only main difference is that with the UK website you pay in sterling pounds instead of US Dollars. And we have 14 days ultimate tickets (hopper + water parks) for the price of a 7 day premium.

Other than that, it's basically the same as booking with Disney in the US

bear in mind that, depending on deals and offers, it might be better to book with the US WDTC, or with WDTC UK

WDTC-UK can also book flights from UK airports.

You can get free QSDDP for moderate resorts and free DDP for deluxe resorts at the moment from both Disney and CO (I just booked the Poly last week through Disney for July next year and got free DDP). You have to purchase tickets at the same time.

If you use Disney, click through using Quidco (you can get 3% cashback at the moment - although I got 4% last week).

Don't get a package deal - they work out too expensive. Better to book the hotel and flight separately.

Free dining is running for most dates in 2013 for uk visitors. To qualify he needs a room + uk ultimate ticket. Free ddp with a deluxe.

It often works out cheaper to book a flight separately. Both companies above give you the option of packages with or without flights.

Thanks for the help! So, I've gotten some dates from him.....I am going to look at May 19 - May 30 for him..... that's only 10 days of needing a ticket, do you suggest the ultimate ticket still?? and is it easy for me to book/ save an offer on the UK website like I can do on the US/CDN website so I can talk to him, find out how he will do the deposit , then finalize it?? I am wondering if I should book in my name so if there are problems, I can work the reservation for him??? any more hints/ or ideas to make this seamless would be greatly appreciated! He wants me to do the deal finding, I am usually pretty sauvy when it comes to getting ME the best deal in Canada when I go....but international booking is foreign waters to me!

Booking trips both from America and Britain,I have found booking from Britain is cheaper even if including the flights.

Plus the tickets you can buy for the UK only, give you the best bang for your buck. You can go to all 6 parks and Disney Quest and play golf, for 14 days, at about $380

14 night stay at SSR regular season $4760, where as booking from here cost $1920. Plus free TS dining.

My best guess is Disney knows flights are expensive so they help by lowering the other prices for UK guest.

It is cheaper for me to go to WDW for 14 nights then it is to go to New Jersey for 14 nights.(that is where my family live)

I live in Sheffield in the UK so I can definately help you! I'm not sure which resort you mean he would like to visit as DLParis is the closest to us..There is a company I go to for quotes and discounted prices as they are a price comparison agency and they give you discounted ferry travel or Eurostart when you book it as a package, they also have ongoing offers. If you meant Orlando, we went mid September for a couple of weeks and flew with Virgin, you can try skyscanner.com for flights (another comparison site!) we paid £2900 between us which included car hire,insurance,WDW tickets,Seaworld Aquattica and all Universal too.
