Hi Everyone, hope you all had a great Christmas and a fab New Year!!

Looking at using the AP way of booking a room - We all have AP's - Going to book one adult and our DD4, then adding the other three of us on as room only.

Am I right in thinking that the only way we can stay on-site would be at Santa Fe or DLH?

The 5 of us are me (nearly 40), DW40, DD12, DD4 and DMIL63.

Thanks in advance.

yes, the only way of doing that onsite in one room is to book a family room. A standard room can't take the 5 of you and you won't be permitted to add 3 guests to a room which already has 2 guests listed on the booking.

Family rooms are a lot more expensive than standard rooms, so it may be cheaper to book 2 rooms and have them interconnecting.

There are also rooms at the associated hotels which take 5 though.

If you phone DLP and ask them for a price for a family room with your AP discount you can put all 5 of you on the booking, as the price is per room, not per person, on a room only basis.

Also, have a look on Expedia to get an idea of room only prices onsite.

Thanks Elaine.

We have stayed in the Associate hotels the past three times we've been, so I really want to stay on-site. I'll give them a call tomorrow for an AP room only price.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts and giving the extra advice.

Fingers crossed you get a price you like :).

When we booked with APs it was cheaper on Expedia and going through quidco and getting 12% back made it a lot cheaper.

I just rang to get a AP room only rate and it was more expensive than booking via their website!

it often is :confused3 - the rack rate for room only per night (which is where DLP gets its AP discount rates from) is usually more expensive than a package, because packages are more heavily discounted.
