Help!!! Booked Cypress Pointe and got call today that said sorry were over booked.

Ahhhhhh, now I get it. Yes, I knew this when I booked, it was stated on their website. Phew, sorry, I think most of us misunderstood your first post. I read it as you had reservations (confirmed) and then they turned around and cancelled it. So, this is really no ones fault then just crappy luck that CP was already booked :(.

This is the first time I booked with hotelkingdom and the first time I've ever prepaid our hotel so it is a tad scary.

I am also interested in how this all pans out as we have paid for our reserved room for Feb 7-14. they already charged our card for the complete stay, so i was wondering what they did with your reservation?
 
We stayed at CP last May through Hotelkingdom and had no problems at all. Liked CP and the price so much we are doing it agian in Feb. Also, I had 3 nights booked at CP over Labor Day weekend when whichever hurricane closed everything down. No problem at all with a refund. Everyone needs to calm down! I too was anxious the first time I did this, but it really does work out!

ummm, as I stated, most of us misunderstood her first post. Hotelkingdom either tells you if there is room immediately and gives you a confirmed reservation or they accept your reservation, check with the hotel and get back to you. Which way they go is stated on the site when you book the room. In Mcar33's case, she reserved, they checked and they were already booked. She explained this in her last post and cleared up the misunderstanding. Her first post made it sound like Hotelkingdom did something wrong which they hadn't. I think it was all just a big misunderstanding which is why it put people in panic mode, lol.

Not sure exactly what happened to original poster but suspect she was notified BEFORE rec'd confirmation. I have used hotelkingdom several times to book Cypress Pointe. You recieve only a confirmation from hotelkingdom and not Cypress Pointe. They send about 3 emails in total the last is the actual confirmation with detailed charges that are made to your credit card.

I don't think anyone should worry if they received the confirmation usually within 24hrs.
 
We recently booked CP through Hotel Kingdom too. If I remember correctly, the hotel kingdom website said we weren't confirmed until we received an email confirmation. We did get it within 24 hours. If you were cancelled after that point, I would be really upset! I remember checking my email constantly until I saw the note.
