Uber, Taxi or Disney/Hotel Shuttle?
We are a family of 5 with kids 8, 8 and 3.

I'd do a taxi. They are easily available right outside the door from baggage claim. Not sure about the need for a child seat though.

I don't know how uber works for child seats either but uber is much cheaper than a taxi. Last time we did it we used uber black for 44 dollars which is the same price as a taxi and we rode in a nice suburban and the driver was nicely dressed and very nice

You could look into supershuttle too. I know they do car seats but it is usually slower than your other options

we get Taxi from SNA and Long Beach. flat rate of $45. for 5 people.. yes you will need a car seat.. and most taxis dont carry them... we use a town car service for the return trip and they will have car seats..

We have brought our own boosters until last year when it was no longer needed.. yeah... if you feel comfortable there is an inflatable booster called bubble butt.. you can get it at Walmart or online and they are pretty damn cool..

We always rent a car. Makes it easier to get to Target and In & Out Burger while we are in Anaheim.

Thank you all for the feedback.
I really don't want to travel with a car seat for the 20 min ride. I might end up renting a car (I rent National for work) and return it the same day. There is a National location walking distance (I think). I like the idea of stopping at Target to get some snacks/drinks and also In & Out (We don't have them in Boston). Hopefully, I can park at the GCH for a few minutes while checking in. Thanks!

When landing at SNA, if you choose to go out to the shuttle area, if a driver with stickers on the van that say "supersaveshuttle.com", run away!

We made the mistake of getting in that van tonight, and holy Hades... On the one hand, our flight landed at 10:20 and we were at Anabella (the third stop the driver made) before 11pm. On the other hand, um, that drive shouldn't be that fast especially not with 2 stops before your hotel. DH, who was sitting in the front seat, said that we were going around 90 almost the whole trip. DS and I were in the back and I was trying to ignore how fast things were flying by, especially when we were on flyovers. I think he was hitting around 50 while going from Harbor down to Katella.

Thankfully we had cash because that's all he took (and no one mentioned that before getting into the van). Dude got NO tip from us. It was terrifying.

It's one thing to go FAST on a socal highway with someone you trust (and I still don't like that sort of trip), but it's another to ride with random shuttle guy who is yawning the whole time in a rattling old shuttle van.

Oh and there's no working website supersaveshuttle.com.

The Bubble Bum booster is fabulous. Created in England, where they are very serious about carseat safety. Does the job of getting the child up to the seatbelt perfectly. Weighs a pound. We used it from our first trip to WDW when DS was 6.5 and didn't fit the seatbelt yet, until he reliably fit the seatbelts of any car we got into. Since it's so light, he carried it himself.
