Hello everyone,

I will be going to Disney from July 23 - July30, staying at the Hyatt Grand Cypress. I am 19 and this is my first vacation without my family, planning it all by myself. Although it is quite exciting, I am rather afraid of making bad decisions. I will be going with my girlfriend, her mother, and two siblings (ages 3 & 10).

I am wondering if anybody knows of a wonderful character breakfast location. When it comes to this, money is not an issue as long as it is worth it.

I am interested in the Cinderella's Castle breakfast. Is that a great place? I heard one has to make reservations 90 days in advance. Is there any truth to that?

Any help or comments are greatly appreciated. Thank You to all!

HI and welcome
this is a great place for help planning your trip:D

Cinderella's breakfast at the castle is VERY hard to get
you have to call first thing in the am on the 90 day mark for best chance and even then it is hard
we have tried on two different trips and still have not made it

we ate with Pooh and friends at crystal palace in Mk and that was Great the kids loved it
buffet style all you could eat with lots of character interaction

thr second year we ate in MGM at ( i can't remember the exact name) but the 50's dinner with minnie goofy chip dale
we were not as impressed the food was not as good and the characters did not get to the tables as often

my kids highly recommend the crystal palace:D

We have been very fortunate to get reservations three times for this breakfast. It is my girls most favorite breakfast (13, 7, 3)
We have been to other character breakfasts, but feel this one is the most magical (for us!)
My suggestion on getting reservations is to have several of you try each morning for reservations. My husband and I typically try from our house phone, and both cell phones. You will want to try for ANY day of your stay, and plan your itinerary around the reservation.
We have also eaten at the Storybook Princess breakfast (Epcot). My kids have also enjoyed this breakfast, however, the food is served in a skillet all mixed together. My one daugther is extremely picky and this was an issue with her. Also as an FYI, the food is rather spicy. Not too bad for an adult, but it was a little hot for the 3 year old.

Here is some info for you.

I really have enjoyed many of them. Cape May and Chef Mickey are super, as are Breakfastosaurus and Cindy's. Crystal Palace is neat too. MGM no longer has them.

And welcome to the DIS, bizwiz24. :wave2: I see you are from Chicago. Stop by the Community board here, and the Meeet board too. Would love for you to some day come to a Chicago DIS meet, and that is where you can find out when and where. Stop by the CB when you can and say hello.

Hi welcome to the DIS!!

Cinderella's Royal Table is an awesome character breakfast. You do have to call EXACTLY 90 days from the day you wish to go at exactly 7am EST. The reservations are gone in a matter of minutes.

Our favorite is Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot. It is at Restaurant Akerhaus in Norway. It is really great and I love the castle setting as well.

We also like the character breakfast at Ohana at the Poly. We went a few years ago and tried it because all other breakfasts were booked up and I loved it (the dinner is real neat as well!)

Hope you have fun planning!!

We also like the breakfast at the Crystal Palace (DD16's favorite). We've also been to the 1900 Park Faire breakfast at the Grand Floridian. You can see Mary Poppins and friends.

We had breakfast at the Crystal Palace last Feb and just loved it. I thought that for food was great and you have quite a selection of items on the buffet. The character interaction was wonderful and we were able to have our picture taken with each one. I thought that this was a great breakfast for the cost. We all really loved it and the youngest of our group was 24 and oldest 54. I will be making ps for it again for my Dec 04 trip. Also going to try the Princess Story Book Breakfast too.

Hope you have a wonderful trip.:wave2:

OK--as previously stated, PS at Cindy's at the castle is very difficult (but not impossible) to get.

GREAT ALTERNATIVES:

1. Princess Breakfast at Akershus in Norway at Epcot. You will see Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Mulan and Belle.

2. While not a breakfast, don't miss CINDERELLA'S ROYAL FEAST at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. You will meet Prince Charming, Cinderella, Perla, Suzy and Fairy Godmother.

3. Chef Mickey's. How can you miss this????? Breakfast or dinner, you get Mickey, and Minnie, and other guests as assigned (Chip-N-Dale, sometimes Pluto, Goofy, Genie....) It is a BLAST with dancing and fun...

4. The Wonderland Tea Party. This is a CHILDREN only event at 1900 Park Fare, the Grand Floridian. It starts at !:15. The kids have tea with Alice and the Mad Hatter (although in the past my daughter had Alice and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum). My daughters LOVE THIS. The adults have lunch at the Garden Grille, or sit by the pool for a drink. You DO NOT have to stay at the GF to do this (we have NEVER stayed there!). Book through WDW-DINE.

Others have covered some of the other good breakfast choices...just plan, plan, plan, and you will be fine!
