I am here in Orlando and can shop today and tomorrow,,,,and what a disappointment!

I went to the scrapbooking store in DTD and they had - well - not much!

They did have many different 'packages' of theme park themed paper,,,,and 4 different scrap books....and sticker rolls....but that was it,,,,,

I did buy the mouse ears edge trimmers and a 'castle' punch but that was all - I had hoped they would have the clips and brad/eyelet thingys....but they didn't,,,and the castle punch was the only one they had as well as the edgers,,,,,,they had a few jolee stickers but nothing like the selection found at AC Moores...and no loose paper,,only those package 'books' - in fact AC Moores has WAY MORE Disney ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo stuff !!!

Am I missing something :confused3 ??? Is there more that I didn't see???
I am very disappointed :sad2:

Believe or not, that's more than they had when I was there in Dec. 2002. I don't understand why they don't stock more stuff. They HAVE to know that people would buy a ton of stuff while they're there and "feeling the magic". At the time I was there they had very little that I considered buying. It didn't fit with my style of scrapping.

Your LSS will have a better selection, but a DIFFERENT selection so get what you like while you're there. It's not sold in regular stores or LSSs.

At least you got the edgers, when we were there last month they were totally out of those everywhere! (ended up buying on EBAY) We did get the eyelet thingys. The packages of paper seemed like a good deal to me - you get a lot for $15.00. At least compared to the scrapbook stores in my area. But you're right, you'd think they would have more in the scrapbook store at Downtown Disney!

That's all they had when I was there. I spoke to the girl there and asked why they didn't stock loose paper and other items. She said that , believe it or not, theft is so high there that it isn't worth it. Can you believe it? Who would steal from WDW. That has to earn you a straight ticket to h#@#. Don't you think!?

My LSS has a HUGE Disney section, they carry just about everything I can find online. And the just put up a HUGE Disney display....a large wooden castle that says "Disney Memories". It holds about 1/2 of there Disney Products. I told the owner that I want that castle when she no longer does!

Okay, sorry to be whiney :confused3 ....I am happy to be here  even if it RAINED :umbrella: for a 1/2 hour like cats and dogs this evening...

Went back and picked up 2 scrap albums - 1/2 price at $13.99 - brown leather embossed cover but the pages are 'loose leaf' style - not the greatest for 2 page layouts but I will adjust and do 'singles' with it.......

BUT - went to the main Disney Store in DTD and found the Mickey Head Paper Clips that the scrap book store said would be out on back-order until April! Really Crazy!!! They didn't have Mickey Head Eyelets.

Didn't get the paper 'packages' - they are just not my style,,,,did pick up some stickers....and I will buy paper at AC Moores if I need any - pick up some in anticipation of this trip when they had the 40% off paper last month.

I too was very disappointed in their supply. I love sticers but don't like to overlay my pages with papers, its just not my style and some of the best stickers you have to buy in those paper packs for 15.99!! UGH!! I can't afford all that.

They do have a few exclusive things but not much. I was there in 03 and got some neat 2003 stickers and WDW 2003 stuff but last year they didn't have any 04 stuff and that made me a bit upset.

I can't believe though that the scrapping stuff is so high theft. Maybe they should put up 2 registers instead of that one where its difficult to see everything.

but last year they didn't have any 04 stuff and that made me a bit upset.
Actually, they did, but I see you went in December. Usually, they'll start swapping out the old product with the new product right after Thanksgiving. Had that happen at least once. Went in to a shop before Thanksgiving looking for my souvernior spoons... saw what I wanted, but thought I'd wait. Too bad for me... when we went shopping a day or 2 later, they had all the next year's stuff and the current year was GONE. :confused3 I asked, but they said the old merchandise was gone for good. :sad2:

Well that sucks! I was there in Dec of 03 and they had lots left. THey didn't have any 05 stuff out yet though I can tell you that.

A few other examples are us going in summer or spring and me getting 12x12 dated kits and then going back at Thanksgiving with my sister and them being gone... only 8.5x11 by then. It does suck... they could at least put it on clearance?? And what if people aren't coming back the next year? What am I gonna do with the following year's album for a Thanksgiving trip? I swear, I need to be a consultant for their SB line!! ;)

Sign me up too! I would love to have that job! I don't know who is in charge of scrapbooking at Disney, but they need to get with the program! The possibilities for Disney Theme Park scrapbook items are endless, but obviously Disney hasn't figured that out yet. They really need to send someone to a good LSS to scope out what's going on in the scrapbook world!

I was really disappointed in the scrap store too. I think I bought one sheet of stickers and then wound up buying a ton of postcards to use in my album.

Luckily EK Success came out with a ton of cute Disney stuff and I see Sandylion has some really neat things coming out soon too.

That's what I don't get. How can they NOT know??? I mean if they're selling the licenses for others to use their images why not have an exclusive WDW line sold only right there? Can you IMAGINE the money we'd spend???!! ROFL!! I spend enough as it is, but man if they had awesome exclusive ride/park/hotel product... They're really missing the boat on this one.
