I have a hold on my ressies right now, which ends tonight. I must pay in full if I keep it, around 1682.00 The problem is I am scared to book due to the possiblity of high seas in December. The cruise would be the 1st week in Dec. for me and my MIL. She is new to crusies and I went back in Aug and loved it. I hope to have the same experience, 1 to 3 ft seas. Just asking for any last minute advice to help me go ahead and pay for this cruise tonight. Any thoughts??????

We did a Celebrity Western cruise a couple of years ago departing on December 13. As I recall, it was pretty rough the first night but smooth sailing after that. Bonine is supposed to be quite effective. Maybe that would help. Personally, I like to feel the ship moving somewhat. Probably should have joined the navy.

While you could technically get rough seas any time of the year, I've been doing a little reading on this forum and others about sailing in December (I get seasick VERY easily and will be on a 12-nighter in the Eastern and Western Caribbean). The input I've read from past passengers is that the waters tend to be pretty calm. You are outside of the standard hurricane season, which I believe ends in Nov.

I would say book it, bring your precautionary meds or other resources (I use a Relief Band), and have a great time!
