Help ASAP...DD10 wearing contacts in the pool?

Wow! File this in my "You learn something new everyday" file! I've worn contacts for years and years and have always gone swimming with them in, but will keep my eyes closed or wear goggles for underwater. I never even contemplated opening my eyes for fear that the water would break the contact's seal to my eye. Thanks for the info!!!

Thanks everyone! DD went to the party, wore her daily disposables, wore goggles MOST of the time but not all the of the time and it worked out fairly well. Not 100% smooth sailing because she THOUGHT she had lost one at some point, so she put in an extra contact I had sent. Her vision was blurry after that. When she got home, she discovered she had never really lost the first contact and that she had TWO contacts in one eye.

I appreciate all the advice!
