I just brought a beautiful pic taken at Castaway to the local photo place to be made into a christmas card and it came out HORRIBLE!!!. The pic was washed out - even the water in the background. I am going to try another place - if not, then I have to sort through my pics and bring an actual negative down to make the cards from. Hope you have more luck.

Lovethatmouse where did you go? The Walgreens did a nice jpb at remaking our picture into a 5x7 however I was afraid to let them send my precious cruise pics away.

I felt the same way! I was too afraid to give up my photo chancing it would get lost and could never be replaced! I have the photo release, but I am going to try scanning the photo myself and printing it out on photo paper. It won't be as good as the origional, I'm afraid, but hopefully everyone will still see what a good time we were all having!

I went to a photo plus store. They have the machines there to do the cards, so I didn't have to worry about them losing the original. I had asked first for them to make a negative of the pic, but they said it wasn't necessary. When I went to pick up the pics, I was horrified (kind of strong word, for a lack of a better one ). I asked if they made a negative would it come out better, and he said, no worse. I will give it one more try another local place(since he didn't make me pay for them), but I have my old camera handy and will me taking a quick roll of film of my dd so I can get a card done quickly. This really STINKS
