We are travelling to Orlando in September staying onsite at Disney, so will use ME from the airport - We are then cruising from Port Canaveral (not disney) for seven days, on return we are staying at Hard Rock Hotel for 2 days and then transfer to airport.
As we are family of five, it will be better and probably cheaper to hire a car to take us to Port Canaveral, if the price is fair we will probably hire the car a few days earlier and use it at WDW. We will turn in the car at Port Canaveral and then pick up another on our return to take us to HRH and then airport.
This is where I am lost - what company do I use that has locations at both WDW and Port C, what codes am I entitled to and where do I find them, I am a member of NRMA (AAA equivalent in Australia) but my card only has a three digit, club code, number, i cant seem to find where to put that on the websites of any of the major companies.
I did find a code on here forget which company, but it was apparently a public travelocity code, it gave quite a good discount, are Australians entitled to use such a code? I really dont want to get caught using something im not entitled to and have to pay up a small fortune.
The consensus on the Aussie thread is that National / Alamo are the cheapest but they dont seem to have a drop off at Port C. It has worked cheaper for some to keep the car while cruising, but cant see that working for 7 days.
I am going insane over this. I dont want to be the chump who pays waaay tooo much for their hire car.
