Help!! An ADR problem

I'm not quite sure how to handle this. We have all our ADRs set up for our October trip. We got everything we wanted. Now, I just found out that my MIL will be joining us for 2 days of our trip. This really is not a bad thing, I adore her, but I tried calling WDW to get our ADRs changed, and they were only able to adjust one of the 3 I have set up for those 2 days. We are a family of 5 with our daughter in a wheelchair. I did mention when I orginally set these up about the wheelchair. So come to find out, instead of giving us a 6 person table, they gave us a 4 person table with the wheelchair on the end. They had no problem changing our Crystal Palace ADR. They must have put us at a large enough table to accomodate 6. But when I tried LTT and WCC, they were unable to change it. And, with the free dining, there are no other times available. I did change the WCC to a lunch ressie ( I had a early dinner set up ) which I'm not very happy about - but can live with. LTT is the major issue. It is for MNSSHP and there are no other times available. I kept our ADR for 5 people. I have tried calling every day, which I will continue to do. If we can't get it, do we just show up with 6 people or not go at all. I've rambled on long enough. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi! I am sorry to hear your dilema. I have a similar situation in which we are a party of 3 and just this week my brother decided for sure he is coming with us for 7 out of our 9 days, staying in his own room with the free dining. I just this week made 2 more ADRs for the 4 of us, but left my other 4 ADRS that he may try to join us for, as tables for 3 and if he decides to join us, I thought I would just ask if they could fit us(hoping it will already be a table for 4). If not, we will just have to make other plans.

Good Luck to you and I hope it all works out. :wizard:

My advice would be to just show up, maybe a little early, for the LTT. Be prepared to have a bit of an extra wait. I am sure they will do their best to fit you in. Of course keep calling, but if you can't get in with a party of 6 that is what I would do.

My inclination would be to continue checking and if you can't find a cancellation, just show up with an extra person. I'd go early, and tell the CM at the checkin desk that your MIL has unexpectedly been able to join your family, which brings your total to 6. And hope they can find a way to make it work.

What a dilemma!

Did you try splitting into two groups of 3? This may be an option for this meal. Anyway I wish you a lot of Pixie Dust so you can get your ADR. :flower:

I would show up early. I've even shown up at CRT with an extra person and it wasn't a problem. The CM said that we may have to wait longer in order for them to accomodate us. I was very polite and friendly. We only had a short wait. We had 5 and added a 6th person.
