Oh, she will still be telling her friend's mom what happened - but I really don't think it was damaged. It looks perfect and the satin is still shiny.

Would a acne product with benezol peroxide work? I know it will take ink spots off a vinyl doll if you put it on the spot and set it in the sun for a few days. And I know a lot of the time ,those kind of products tell you to not get it on clothes, because it will remove the dye colors in clothing. Just be careful not to get it on the pink part, and rinse it out really good.

I am going to be sooo happy if this really works my younger DD colored "hair" in pen on her bitty baby because her sisters has hair ans hers does not then for good measure she colored her sister's botty babie's face too!!! I have tried everything in my house and it hasn't worked I will be going to rite aid after dinner for the acne stuff. How many days do you leave it on?

Use the benzoyl peroxide and a lamp directly on it for several days, it sounds weird, (and looks weird, people would walk into our kitchen with the light bulb on the doll, lolol) but it was the only thing that worked for us with permanent marker, it took a long time. They say to put it in the sun, but the lamp worked faster for us. Little by little you will notice a difference, hopefully, good luck!!!

Hooray for Oxy-Clean! That stuff has removed every stain from my grandkids clothing- the trick for me was using really hot water to dissolve it in-miracle stuff. I've never had it destroy fibers either and after many more washings, the same clothing still looks good as new. As to dolly vinyl stains, if you use the acne cream it will hasten the process if you also wrap the limb or head, etc. in saran wrap and then stick it in a window or in the sun directly. Be sure to cover any other part not being treated and if used on the face, do know that it will also remove any blushing so you might need to re-blush the cheeks, etc. People must wonder why I often have a doll leg sticking out under the blinds in a window, but it always works. I bought a Samantha doll on Ebay last year with an undisclosed HUGE pink marker stripe on one leg and today you'd never know it was there. OP- I'm sure your daughter learned a valuable lesson with the doll dress at the ripe old age of 5- better now than when she's 15 and has borrowed someone's designer clothing and had a spill!---Kathy

Just don't get the acne stuff anywhere near the dolls eyebrows or lip color etc., as it will remove them too. And I find that red ink takes a tad longer to remove. Sometimes it takes a couple of applications and a few days in the sun, but it will remove it.

Completely off topic, but good for you making HER take responsibility for her mistake -- even if it was an accident. She'll be a better person for it.
