Help! Allergy problems...

sorry to be ot, but is anyone out there having terrific allergy problems right now? We're in Ft. Worth....and my daughter and her family are having terrible allergy problems right now. They're miserable...is anyone else suffering? What do you usually do for this? We've never had it this bad before....itchy eyes, runny nose....and everything! Any suggestions? barb

There is many many medications for allergies. Do they take a daily allergy pill? Try to stay indoors with windows closed etc. for outdoor allergies. Also replace furnace filters, get rid of carpet, remove house plants (they can grow mold spores in the dirt). Depending on the allergy, there is away to learn how to live with them. Good luck.

I've suffered from spring and fall allergies for 20 some years. This past fall I "stumbled" onto something that helps me.
I was taking a combination of quercetin and bromelain for something else and my allergies went away. When I stopped they came back. When I started again they went away again. Puzzled I looked this up on the internet and guess what? These are used to treat allergies.

Quercetin is a bioflavonoid found in apples and onions.
Bromelain is a natural, protein-digesting enzyme derived from pineapples.

Howdy Neighbor!! We live in the same area!!

Both DH & I have suffered bad this season with allergies! DD is starting to sneeze, watery eyes, the whole thing too. Almost everyone I know is dealing with it too. My DM works over at Harris HEB and said they have seen tons of people with the same thing. It seems to be everywhere and hitting everyone.

NiKP...I should have been more specific - and your advice was great, but I should have said - this JUST started....they've been in their house for over 5 years. They have all had "allergy sniffles" - but this has just blown them away!
Crazymomof4....thank you too.....we'll research this some more..I'm sorry to hear that you suffered sooo long before finding a solution...but so glad that you did!!! I'm a crazy mom of 4 too....and a crazier grandmother of 13!

All my children were born at Harris..and most of the grandbabies too..GREAT PLACE!!!!
