ok. so I booked our trip in Dec for Dec 2008 the 7-13. After careful research (ok really just checking the wdw website for slowest times) i decided this particular time would be when we go because it is the only week "highlighted" well i just found out that THAT exact week is Pop Warner week:scared1: . apparently some sort of pee wee footbowl championships as well as cheer and dance. UGH. does anyone have any experience going to wdw during pop warner week? I'm unsure of what to do because obviously there will be loads of kids but the week is still highlighted as a slow week. Are the crowds that low that kids for the championships won't really make much of a differance? HELP!

p.s. we are staying at a moderate resort so i don't really know if we will be affected by tons of amped up kids. i hope not:confused3 :sad2:

we'll be at Pop the same time as you - not worried though - have read on these boards that the cheerleaders will be at competitions during the day and have no real effect on park crowds - as far as resorts, they seem to stay at the all-star values more often than not - you should be fine

:scared1: :scared1: That is when we are going too! Should we rethink it??

From all accounts, they don't have much affect on park crowds. HS will probably close early one night for Pop Warner, so you'll want to find out what day that is.

Pop Warner crowds usually stay at the AS resorts, with spillover going to POR.

If you don't have to live with them, it's not too horrible. We had to live with them once...NEVER again. If they are in the parks, it's generally in the evenings and they do tend to be obnoxious, especially the cheerleaders. They can't seem to understand that not everyone wants to hear their cheers or why people get grumpy when they are doing acrobats in line or through the parks. Oh well...we don't have to live with them and we will be arriving as they are leaving. The parks really aren't horribly crowded and it's a great time to visit. Wait times are generally on the low side, MVMCP is WONDERFUL and we spend a whole day just cruising the resorts to see all of the decorations and food creations.
