Help! I have called Disney Dining and basically gotten 3 different answers. Here's the scenario:

We are a party of 4 traveling in May. Three from my extended family were planning to join us at one ADR: Cinderella's Royal Table lunch. So we made reservation for 7.

Now my 3 extended family members are having some issues and may not be joining us on the trip.

QUESTION: What is the BEST way for me to handle this if 3 out of the 7 in our party are no longer going to the CRT ADR?

Answers from Disney Dining:

1) Cancel the reservation of 7, make one for 4 people (CAN'T do this b/c they are completely booked).

2) Once you know the 3 are NOT joining you, call at least 24 hrs in advance so they are not charged. They will "TRY to accommodate the remaining 4 ihn the party" Do not show up at the door w/just 4 of your 7. They are strict at CRT and may not accommodate you.

3) Call once you are certain the 3 are not joining you - at leats 24 hrs notice so they aren't charged. They will drop the 3 from reservation but keep my remaining reservation and get Guest SErvices involved to clear up any lingering issues w/the reservation. They will accommodate your party of 4 b/c it is easier to drop members from a party (get a smaller table) than to add tables (if we were adding people to the ADR).

Okay, Dis-ers: Anyone gone through this before. W/the high demand at CRT and strict policies....am I going to lose our ADR completely if I take 3 people off the ADR??:scared1:

Help!

As far as I know, if you take 3 off your original reservation you will loose your reservation. I also think if you left them on and only 4 were there, you would still be charged for the other 3. I think u might just want to keep calling to see if a party of 4 opens up before your trip. I think people cancel often so you might have luck with that. Please do not quote me on the above but that is how I understand it.

Senario # 3 that you mentioned is correct. When you are absolutely positive that you will only be a party of 4 (do this before your 24 hour window) call wdw-dine and they will gladly reduce your party size. You will not lose your reservation or have to pay for the missing members. HTH!! :thumbsup2
